Ok, so you got your beautiful Marushin M1 Garand.
A lot of people have reported that they have had many problems.
Here are some solutions I found myself-
1. The upper wood parts and the outer barrel are loose-
This is actually the simplest fix. Grap your outer barrel and TWIST
Sort of strange, but the entire outer barrel is threaded over the inner barrel. Simply twist the barrel and the wood and barrel should become nice and solid
2. The bolt is jamming halfway through blowback
This problem actually had me scared, as I'd heard about the bolt breaking. To fix this, first, pull the bolt back and lock it. Now look at where the bolt meets the insides of the gun. There should be a hex screw there. Unscrew it ever so slightly, so there is a gap between the screw head and hole, and dab some crazy glue on there. Then screw it in tight, and your bolt should be secure. (I just recently did this and fired of 16 shots with no issues whatsoever
3. The gun is leaking
Strip the gun down, and look at the upper receiver. You should see in the middle this tubelike metal piece. Go tighten ALL of those screws up, even the tiniest ones. This will make sure the gas stays in the reservoir.
4. The hop-up is fiddly
Spray a TINY bit of silicone oil into the hop-up chamber, then clean out the rubber with q-tips.
NOTES-
-watch the swing swivels, make sure they are tight
-only use green gas if you have the U.S. "export" model, aka the SI (Spartan Imports) version. Otherwise, ONLY use hfc134a or your Garand will have issues
-every so often, put some oil on the rail that guides the bolt. This will make sure the blowback is crisp and clean.
-don't turn the hop-up excessively, the Garand has a rather sensitive hop-up
Alright, I hope this helps you guys!
