MVD troops use boots manufactured by Garsing, it's seen as a relatively standard items in photos. Isn't the m25-b issued to nato troops? Ya, but have you ever owned a pair? Most troops dump them for a pair of tennis shoes or non mil issue boots. They suck, real bad... About the M25-b, Nato what ever man. Most units buy there stuff directly from Splav or troops buy there gear them selfs. If its made by Splav any one can have it... Dont get all worryed about my vest does not match my boots, camo, etc.

Garsing boots are litterly the same as US Jungle Boots. The only main difference is that the souls on the Garsing boots feels like walking one a peace of ply wood. But, you can fix that by geting a pad in there from a wootlocker or whach have you and sliding into the boot. Still, I hate Jungle boots. So do the troops that have to run 10-20 miles a day when being shot at. They just dont stand up to the treatment that there being put threw. Alot of troops will get a pair of tennis shoes or hikeing boots. Not because there technologly behind the US and other nations, but because when you are geting shot at you want to be able to run with minimal stress and damage to your feet.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
no no no
They are nothing like US jungle boots, and yes I do own them. US jungle boots suck a big one, they are so cheap that everyone where's them but are pretty much inaccurate for everything. Garsing boots are very high quality and provide excellent arch and ankle support. You may be thinking of the actual standardized Russian infantry boots (which are rubberized pieces of junk). I owned a pair and returned them to Redsoldier to get the garsing boots. In regards to tennis shoes, that choice is used rather infrequently by special forces who are think they are superior for urban combat, sort of like the guys who trade in their 5,45 guns for 7,62 AKM's.

I have worn both pairs of boots... Theres nothing wrong with them, there just not the best boot ever made. I still stand by my stament with them being on par with US jungle boots.

US jungle boots suck a big one, they are so cheap that everyone where's them but are pretty much inaccurate for everything. I own a pair of jungle boots and I like them. I bought a green pair for $25, and a black pair for $69, and I like the green ones better. If you replace the original foot pads with gel or memory foam, they can get to be quite comfortable. And they aren't accurate for anything? Uhhh... I believe there was that little skrimish called... Vietnam. They were also used throught Panama, Grenada, Hati, and even saw some use in Desert Storm. Even today, they are accurate, so I believe it's a pretty innaccurate statement to say that they aren't accurate for anything.

If you skip the cheap applesauce and go directly to the company that originally manufactured Jungle Boots, they're fine. Don't buy the crap at your Army Navy store.

I don't like them because too many people buy the cheap repros and skip on accurate boots.

neoptolemus, I will add that I only got to wear the Garsing boots around the home and not in combat. So there you go.

How many photographs of FSIN, FSB, and MVD troops have you looked over? 1? 2? I have seen maybe 5 pairs of tennis shoes (4 Adidas and one set of trainers) in all the primary sources I have seen. These guys wear boots (Garsing, GSG9, etc...) that are not standard issue, but are still combat boots.
