We should be able to find something for you, Red Leader. The car I'm going in is full. I'll get a hold of Alban and see what the deal is.

This is shaping up to be a great event. Not a bad headcount at all. With all the vehicles present the scenarios will really take on a neat flavor.
If Franz is unable to make it I'll go German the whole time so that an Unteroffizier is on the field. If he's there I'll go Russian part time.
Can't wait to see the Tiger, BA64 and PAK all slugging it out. SPITZE!

Just to plan ahead. I will need camping gear! I wish I had four Zeltbahn pieces!! But will probably opt for a modern tent. Although I will have to go buy one. Any estimate on night time and daytime temperatures?
I have a sleeping bag so I am OK on that. It's either camp or find a nearby hotel!! Is there a nearby hotel??
I will need Bio BB's. I will have to look when I get home. I think I have some .20's, but will buy some.26's on site if I need them. Are there any heavier Bio BB's for shooting out of my Tanaka Mauser?? I have been shooting .32's with it!
Thanks in advance for any answers!

Thanks Rekkon! I'll pack accordingly!! Say.. I know where to get Bio BB',s but what are "Bio 180" BB's?? Airsoft Atlanta, has a good selection of Bio BB's, in .20, .25 and .28. The .28's are the heaviest I've found so far. www.airsoftatlanta.com/ammo.htm

sir veilance, if you are using a Tanaka I'll provide you with bbs. .26 bio-180's. They have high ratings and supposedly completely biodegrade unlike the Excels. Or so my understanding goes. I'd prefer the use of TSD 180-day biodegradable bbs and this should be no problem as I've been able to source them and s should others or buy from me.

I'l be bringing my MP40 as well. So will most likely buy some BB's. The G&G BB's I saw "Claim" to be 100% Biodegradable, but you are going to have plenty of BB's onsite, I'll just buy them at the event!

Camping for Baltic. Modern tents are okay. We'll all be in the same area more or less but those that want to do period camping will set up together so that photos can be staged to exclude the modern tents. But as I said, if you have modern gear bring it and use it as far as camping goes. The tankers and old guys can lay claim to the cabin. The women will be able to use the home if they desire. An update on the Tiger I. I was told they are converting to metal tracks from wood. That's cool. The clink-clink-clink of metal will have a serious effect on Russian morale. I also hear that the Russians are bringing in additional female snipers. Yikes!

I had a question concerning late comers and how they will find the field. Goggle map or mapquest or whatever, 849 Forest Lane, Pickerel, WI. There you will drive down a dirt road and find our home and cabin and campsite for the event. The home is actually on Tamarack Trail but that does not register yet. That lake is called Crane Lake. From that location if you want to go to the play field you would drive back out to County DD and head North (turn left) and drive a couple of miles to County Q. Here you can only turn left again and drive a couple of more miles till you see a real estate development sign on the right side of the road showing all the lots in the Crawford Lake project. It is nicely done and really will help you all see the layout. We have lots 1 and 2 (70-acres). There are two homes on Crawford Lake that get rented out for the summer and I will notify them ahead of time but I don't see us tripping over those people. Continues past that sign down Q in the direction you were driving and you'll come up to our signs for the event and should then see the parked cars. Then walk in but wear eye protection. Along these lines if I or ersatzjack2 or Udo or Gryphon haven't heard you are coming I'd just as soon you not show. I have to know ahead of time how many we have to look out for. Plan accordingly or face a huge disappointment. It's safe to say that if you are named on the list then I know you are coming.

BUMP - Added the modified scenario descriptions. It might change yet again but for now this is the game plan. I won't have the Kubelwagen at this event sorrowfully. Maybe the next one. Also, the crew mounted MGs are all in NY and look like they will sit out another event. Oh well, that can't be helped. But the scenarios were tweaked to use the vehicles in all of them since that is what we do have and it should be lots of fun as is.

I just picked up 3000 .28g G&G bios for my Springer Mauser from Atlanta Airsoft a few weeks ago, although I doubt you could get them by Friday, I can probably spare 1000 of these for sale ($8/1000 or $5/500).
I will also be selling a bag of 5000 .20g TSD 180-Bios that is unopened. $20 for the whole bag or $5/1000 BBs. These should work for AEGs and pistols but will be too light for rifles.

Well here is a weather update for the event. Friday and Saturday - mid 70ies for highs and low 50ies for lows. Partly cloudy. Full moon. So far so good. This will be my last update for this event. I will be heading up tomorrow to get the grounds ready and don't think I have Internet up there. So folks - don't mess up and miss this one. Or mess up, heck... its a free country. sir veilance - have a safe trip. You're in the running for furthest travel on this trip. Free admission to the player that drives the furthest.

At present there are no plans for a night mission, but we haven't specifically ruled it out. Gryphon had some neat ideas for night missions. I think it will depend on how many people stick around Saturday night and what their condition is for a game.

I haven't officially heard back from anyone about a ride to this event yet. Is there anyone carpooling through Milwaukee that could possibly swing by and pick me up?

I was working today I'll tell you. The grounds look pretty good and I'm satisfied that those that do manage to show won't be sorry. One note, When you are at the end of the trip and on Forest lane just drive straight through till the road ends. You'll see the Feldpost sign. That is where campers are to set up. If you pass a mailbox for the Alexanders on Tamarack lane you'll know you are in the right area. Everyone have a safe trip.
