Jasons gun did not draw blood. It was Dan (Nick Z's cousin) who opened up on me from about 15 ft away with his MP40. Caught me in the knuckle and had me bleeding all over my utilities. My biggest complaint about ALL midwest games is the lack of tactics & fire discipline. They eventually turn into paintball shoot em up matches. For once I'd like to see guys practice tactics...hell...at least try em for God sake.

We did practice tactics! Nick Z. and myself flanked the allies. We rushed Jeremiahs position in the allied camp, took Charlie POW , snuck up behind Cary, Waldo and Jeff. We took down Waldo and Cary, then we might have sort of accidentally totally lit jeff up, But it was a tactic. Plus you kinda charged us wielding that carbine. The only thing that I blame is that we didnt have objectives and respawn rules which led to many cases of overkill. Franz

Ya I was down to my spring .45 firing at everything that moved. Those girls almost shot me and Jeff for Pete's sake. ;D

I ran out of ammo for my BAR really fast and had to reload several times at the base becuase my supply I carried with me into the field ran out. That M-14 Base gun has such a high rate of fire. Plus I found out that even though I have a big gun with alot of ammo support riflemen really are needed to cover a support gunner while he covers the other riflemen. That BAR was also really clumsy and long to carry around but Im glad I finally got to skirmish with it.

enforcement of the single fire only rule would most likely improve things. The most frustrating is still being able to see your target but having a thin bush stop your fire. Until we start wedging bb's into priming caps like Cary's garand, we won't be able to solve that problem. And at that point the game becomes a bit to risky for my taste

Tactics aren't simply flanking allies and capturing POW's. Squads are never used, there is no fire discipline, it's a bb throwing contest.
I wouldn't get to "hopped up" (pun intended) if I didn't hear "we need to practice tactics and drill and make the skirmishes a little more realistic" from everyine.

True, true. If we had Nick and Chris with us we could have done more tactically, but they were pinned down waiting for the right moment to use the mortar.

When you guys came to rush the camp I was running really low on ammo for ym BAR and Charlie did not have a gun, so I tried to pin you guys down as long as I could while I grabbed my ammo can, and then as I was almost out of ammo I sprayed the area you guys were in (almost getting my head shot off though lol) and bolted outta there really fast. I ran down to the end of the property and set my ammo down, threw as many rounds into my mag as I could and decided to wait for you guys to try and rush me, but I knew you wouldnt becuase the area was all open and I had a clear field of fire and you guys would have had no cover. So I set my ammo down, got up and rushed over the assist Jeff, Cary and Nick (US) who were pinned as well. Unfortunetly after tryign to cover there movements I was running low again as I didnt load but a handfull of rounds into my mag. I soon found myself pinned behind a tree by the house with the guys in the woods peppering my position. I looked over and suddenly saw Jeff, Cary and Nick getting attacked from the rear, I tried to cover them but was outta ammo! I set my BAR down and pulled out my Colt.45. I tried to him Frank, he was too far away. My only hope was to charge who was in the woods, as I know they only had a bolt action rifle and one Mp-40. I popped off two rounds from my position and decided to go down in a hail of gunfire, I however hit the guy with the Mp-40 and it was a duel between Nick (German) and I, we both hit eachother several times though and kept going lol until I was down to my last few roudns in my colt.45, then the game was called lol
