Sorry to resurrect this old thread. Can somebody tell me the differences between the "regular and the "CNC" verions of the VFC BAR? How can i identify the two versions, are there any external features to differentiate them from each other? Thanks! There are definitely some external differences between the standard BAR and the CNC version- On the standard version, the raised portion on top of the receiver looks like it was milled out and an insert was installed instead of being solid like the CNC version. Not sure why they did this, it doesn't look very good. Also, on the receiver behind the rear sight going toward the stock, it's more flat then the CNC version. I guess this was done to remove the casting marks, not sure, but it does look different. Also, I noticed on the standard guns the end of the gas tube is flat black while on the CNC it's bare aluminum. Another difference is the serial numbers. I own two CNC BARs and the serial numbers are 640021 and 640034. The numbers on the standard version are also six digits, but it looks like they begin with either 63 or 65. I've never held a standard version BAR, so there may be other differences if compared side-by-side. Hope this helps

Photo's you ask, photo's you get. Check out the review Gordak started on it. The standard version is exactly the same except its reciever is not CNC'd. That'll give you a lot of information. <YD> Man that display is so badass.
