Tag Kameraden!
Gruppe West of the 3rd Panzergrenadier, Midwest Ostfront Association (MOA), is organizing an open ww2 skirmish at Special Forces Paintball in Buffalo, Minnesota, on Saturday, June 14th.
Our intention is to build interest in ww2 airsoft and give prospective enthusiasts the ability to meet and play in the Twin Cities. Several of the MOA's members are from Minnesota and have been participating in multiple ww2 events held in Wisconsin over the past year. There is a highly organized and growing ww2 airsoft movement just accross the border. Come join us and see what all what all the buzz is about!
We are reaching out to two distinct groups at this event:
1) Airsofters that already have a well developed ww2 impression (axis or allied)
2) Prospective ww2 airsofters who are looking to "try out" ww2 airsoft with either partial ww2 impressions or no impression at all
The 3rd Panzergrenadier will be be bringing a variety of ww2 weaponry including MP40s, custom built 98Ks (wood and steel), an MG42, and PPSh submachine guns.
Interested but you don't have a ww2 impresson? No problem! You are encouraged to attend as an irregular or partisan to augment the uniformed allied and axis participants. We will be bringing burlap and twine to help obscure modern, non-ww2 weapons, which must be set to semi-auto and hi-caps loaded with a maximum of 100 rounds per magazine. A good partisan impression can be had with a trip to Goodwill or your grandparent's closet. This is intended to be a welcoming, open door event. Please just make an attempt and leave the blue-jeans, modern tactical gear and camo at home. For partisan impression recommendations, please look here: www.ostfrontairsoft.com/irregequipment.shtml
Start time is at 12:30 PM and we will play until 4:30 PM. The registration fee is $20 per player. Full seal eye-protection is required along with some sort of ear protection. Wearing a helmet does count as ear protection, so if you bring your steel pot you're good to go.
