I have thought about this for a while. Could a springer M14 eternals fit inside a Real M1 Garand stock? If they could I would like to try this conversion out. I know it would be a lot of work. A new longer inner and outer barrel would have to be purchased along with the usual Garand parts. I was also wondering could a real M1 Garand Operating rod be mounted on an M14?

It would be neat, but the spring M14 is just too cheap and not powerful enough I believe to put the time and effort into it.

Well many of them claim to shoot 380 FPS and if you converted it most of the parts would end up being wood and metal, butt plate, Operating rod, Gas Cylinder, Barrel, inner barrel, ferrules, sling mount, Front and Rear Hand guards and stock. The plastic receiver gets me down but if the M14 springer could accommodate a real stock it would make up for it. It might not be able to though and then the conversion would not be as worth while

I have one of them and im not too impressed. Good for a backyard war, but that's about it. Now, if it shot on par with a BAR-10, then you would have my interest.
