Could this work? : you make the hop-up face up so when you open up the receiver you can put a special made mag in like the real one. so what do you think possible if you customize it?

shoot. i never really seen the the reciver open so i thought the gear box was somewhere else. I suck:(

I actually there's a little space where the gearbox doesn't cover it up. It could work.

No. Not enough space for a magazine, the motor+ gearbox wouldn't be set right if flipped upside down. It'd be a ton of work just to feed mags from the top (which would be totally different from actually loading an M1, the only similiarity being it's from the top)

There is no such thing as a stupid question but that one came very, very close. I understand perfectly the desire, it would be cool, but no way that I can imagine one would be able to reasonably do it.
