I have been shopping for a thompson and I have looked at DenTrinity and AirsoftShop but I have also looked in the U.S. I was wondering if the shipping from Den or AirsoftShop would outweigh the $80+ addition to price or not and also what are the chances of me getting my gun confiscated during shipping due to trademarks from Den or AirsoftShop?

I would go with Den Trinity. They do a good job covering all the trade marks so that your items won't be siezed by customs. Shipping for a Thompson would probably be about $30.00 but it is shipped express and you will have it fast. Den also has a few Thompson packages so they would definitely be the best chioce.

I got my Thompson from redwolfairsoft.com, I got the level 1 upgrade, and I believe I paid around $365 w/shipping. I'd go with redwolfairsoft.

mills you realize that with the best thompson package at den ($275) plus S+H ($30) That still beats you by almost $60?

I just checked Den, a thompson with battery and charger is $276. and in the Special packages section, the price ranges from $318 - 358. and they dont come with upgraded parts. It will cost another $91 to get upgraded parts.
So in the end, Redwolf is the better choice.

I'm sorry your right I accidently lined up the prices incorrectly you are quite correct. Now is Redwolf careful about removing TM's? also what are the advantage of the upgraded parts and what ones do I want to be sure to get

I have heard horror stories about Red Wolf and their trademark removal methods. They have been known to DREMEL them off!

WHAT!? I've never heard of that. As far as the Thompson is concerend, they just put Orange paint on the tip.
I've Ordered 3 different guns from Redwolf, and bought a 2nd hand gun that was bought from redwolf, and non of them had tradmarks dremeled off.

Maybe they just dremel them off so carefully that you can't tell the difference

they dont have to dremel anything from the thompson. I read on the Redworlf site that they putty over trademarks. and they say that there ARE different and less reversible ways of covering tradmarks. but they dont say that they use them.

there are NO trade marks on the TM thompson other than the standard military desciption on the back side of the reciever,so there isn't anything to cover, just the orange tip.the trade mark issue is mainly for the 100 different types of M16/M4/SR-16/etc. out there with the copywrited logo on the side of the mag well.i got mine from WGC years ago,but i used them because they have a direct deposit sort of system so you don't have to use a credit card.once the payment was in their account,i had the gun in 3 days.

They just paint it orange. Nail polish remover removes the paint in a flash.

I got my Thompson from Redwolf, and they did put putty over the markings, but i simply removed the putty with my finger nail. It came right off with no worries, and then I just painted the tip black, and I have had no trouble with it:) Id go with Redwolf:)

When I got my thompson there wasnt any putty. I also ordered 2 M1 Garands from them, and all they had was the orange paint on the end.
