I'm still doing research, but I figured while I'm at it, it wouldn't hurt to ask the experts
I'm looking to play a German impression. I'm sure specific units will vary from game to game, but I would like to know which units I should look into. I own an MP40, and would like to use it, but I'd also like to use a long rifle, perhaps a Kar98k. I also plan on getting a Tanaka GBB Luger eventually. What unit(s) would use these weapons, perhaps together? I would also love to be able to use an STG44 on the field, but I'm not looking to go all AEG all the time; its not period and I get enough of that with modern airsoft every week ;D
I'm also looking to join a unit for WWII reinactments, though to the best of my knowledge there aren't any in my area, and considering the location and popular mindset, I highly doubt there's any Nazi units locally
Anyway, just looking for some suggestions, maybe a nudge in the right direction. As I said I'm still doing research, just want to make sure I'm looking in the right place
I suggest you look around these message boards to find German units near you. It would probably be better for you to join a unit than form your own.
I agree. I lead a team in modern airsoft, and while I enjoy it, I'm looking for something different with WWII airsoft. I want to join an existing unit, start out at the bottom, and work my way up. I just want to know what kinds of things I should work on getting, and what units I should research until then.
Nazi units ? As far as I know, there are no groups anywhere that reenact the DNSAP...
I was refferring to the general concensus where I live , Mostly a bunch of rednecks who think all Germans are Nazis. My grandmother is German, and proudly displayed a German flag licence plate on her car. Every time she drove through town she had people honking at her and giving her the finger until she finally removed it
Dracul: It looks like it lost a lot of steam and I now feel bad for randomly dropping off.

stuka: I mean it's not your fault. It is interesting though that things are falling off as we are finally getting our ww2 guns with the type 38/96 and the enfield as well as it recieving a new loading system, it's kind of unfortunate

Dracul: I don't know, maybe its because all the guns are becoming available, there is a decreasing need for the forums.

Dracul: Most of the talk was about making guns, as all the uniform info was already out there, but now the weapons are out there and are usually decent quality.

stuka: well the forum is and should still be useful for updates on guns, creating groups/events and building kits

Cpl. Hicks: I haven't been here in years, but I'm glad to see this forum is still kicking! So much great info on here.

savoy6: anyone know if anyone still carries the enfield?

Dracul: I think Redwolf has a Enfield. If not or not longer, then not until G&G releases theirs. The old gas Iron Airsoft brand SMLE isn't carried by anyone anymore and was such piece of crap. Not worth trying to track one down.
