Here are some updated pics. I have everything made and fitted, it is aimply a matter of now glueing the two halfs together, filling in some spots with bondo, and painting the gun. Here is the on/ off switch for the gun. Pic of battery compartment when closed And pics when opened with battery inside Pic of the battery door. It slides down onto the pin sticking up infront of the battery compartment and then to secure it you slide inb the small pin next to the door in the pic, into a small hole in the top. Pic showing how all the internals fit. TommyGunner

1. your pics are almost as bad as mine man. We suck at photo taking. 2. In your last pic it is hard to tell but it looks like the air nozzle will not line up when you insert a mag. Do you have that all worked out? Do you have a better pic of it? 3. Good work If you need help with a webpage let me know.

Yeah my pics do suck lol. I have really bad lighting in my workshop so nothing really ever comes out good ( I even tell my friends not to let me take photos becuase Im bad at it lol)
In the last pic the hop-up unit/ airnozle is really far forward in the magazine well, but I have already built a magazine for the gun and lined up the magazine internals with the hop-up unit/ airnozzle so that everything does feed and quite nicely I might add.

Well its very close to being finished now. I have just a few cosmetic things to clear up and its done. I have the battery door to finish and put the rest of the gun metal finish on the gun as well. A pic of the bolt cover open, this white peice will be painted black once done. Here you can access the hop up unit to adjust it. TommyGunner

This gun I made for a member here names Jim Serry and I quoted him at $300 (he supplied the Hudson Grease gun and the donor MP-40 AEG box though) so it was $300 in labor.
If you are interested in this at all feel free to PM me and we can talk.

Wow! that looks really good. Did you bondo in all the gaps etc from cutting? Is there a way to get the gearbox back out for repair or maintenance? I wasn't sure an MP-40 box would fit but you definitely proved it will. Great work! Nice airplane models too Schmitty

There's no way of breaking that down easily to get to the gearbox is thier? Well......no there is not lol. I personaly can take it apart if anything happens and put it back together, but the average person couldnt. I doubt anything will break though I have never had an AEG stop working before. TommyGunner

You definitely jinxed yourself with that comment but I agree that when you leave gearboxes intact and stock and use low caps and reasonable care they typically don't break. I am always amazed at all the people at events having trouble with their guns when I often have a half dozen or more loaned out or in use and virtually never have a problem and usually it's a simple battery issue. I had one tappet plate fail in a gun I used extensively and an RPK that was substantially upgraded and used extensively go down with a stripped piston, otherwise not problems whatever.
I'm leaving my two TOP M60s out of this discussion as they went toes up just looking at them and I'm also not including gas guns in this discussion.
Your Grese gun looks great.

Sorry but this is not an item the MGW and ISA sells. This was a one time build that I was contracted for and do not have plans to make in any quantity for sale.

I have been working on one of these for a while now, but have gone through 3 different gearbox ideas in the process of working on it, so it still isn't finished. The three concessions I make when building anything are; 1. how many purchased parts can I use in it, to minimize the hand building for keeping overall costs down? 2. will I be able to use an existing magazine, again to keep costs down? 3. will disassembly be possible for potential repair/replacement of the gearbox, should something go wrong later? So far, I am on my last portion of the build, and am using a stripped AGM M14 gearbox to make a decent sized battery possible, going to use a ICS M4 hop-up unit so that I can have an easier time adjusting it and using MAC10 AEP mags in it for that added realism in their appearance. When I get this pain in the rear finished, I plan on keeping it for a long time, since I know I will NEVER get what I have put into back out of it in a selling price. Besides, it is like a small fraternity of people who have AEG M3s, Schmitty started it (to the best of my knowledge), and he has a tendency to come up with beautiful projects, so I kind of feel special for being able to complete something he has done as well. Think of it as the "Airsoft Custom Gun Badge of Honor"!
