All players under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult who is playing. Are we doing Civilians, because that's the only way my mom can go.

Well after our event this weekend, we had a chance to put together the plan of action for our next two events. It looks like the 3rd Panzergrenadiers are sending a small squad of 4 out to NY for this event! They are: Otto (ersatzjack), Wolfgang (Rekkon), Alban and myself. I also think that one of Wolfgang's friends in Ohio will be driving out too. The plan right now will be to arrive sometime on Friday. I can't wait to meet you guys! ja, I'm Rekkon's friend, I'll be tagging along from Ohio. Actually my family is from Amsterdam so that was kind of weird. I'll be in as a partisan. I hope I can borrow one of the groups weapons, otherwise I'll be going after those Amis mit mine fists!

Is that a lake? What are the red/blue lines?

The Blue lines are probably Allied movement routes. To the right of the red line is German held territory.
That is a large pond in the middle. It is to be simulated as the impassable swampy wetlands of the gap.

Godo I'm sure we'll have 1 or 2 extra guns as I'm bringing both my MP40 and my K98, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the crew is doing the same.

I will be bringing spare guns too, should people have gun problems, it will just be a matter of changing out batteries.

Sean, Mandy is not a partisan, she is a Heer regular. Also, the enactor from the Wheels Wings and Track show is coming with a M1 Thompson. His name is Nicolas. Add him to the regular infantry.

Hey guys.. I can’t believe my own eyes!!!!
Are the Allies truly and really going to outnumber the Axis this time? So far we have registered: 13 axis vs. 16 allies.
Note: This may very well be the first time, in the last three events that we held, whereas the allied forces have more men than the Axis; that is even with the partisans on the Axis side this time around.

I should be going. First real organized airsoft game, besides the 8 person games that we've gotten together back home.
Kinda new to airsoft and WW2 reinacting, but not WW2!
I registered with the allies, the 504th.
Gordak, hopefully I'll have an M1942 for the date.

Okay I registered for the event. Sadly, I only have reinforced M1942's and an M1-C Helmet with 502nd markings on it. I was really thinking of unreinforcing my M1942's, and sewning an 82nd Airborne patch on it, but the reinforcing material is sewn into the seams of the pockets, and would distroy the jacket and pants. Also, I am not too crazy about painting my helmet. As much as I hate to say it, I guess I will be going as a Flaggrantly Wrong 101st Paratrooper in the MTO... -Michael

Thats what I initially thought. Actually at the Bulge we were outnumbered by three or four. Now there are 18 allies registered, and 13 germans. 31!!!This will be one great game. Keep the registrations coming! This is one event you will not want to miss!

Where are the rules posted? Just wondering about FPS and mag stuff I am unsure of the FPS rules. If I were to make an assumption about them, using .20 BB’s. I’ll have to check with Sean on these numbers. But, relatively… these numbers make sense. single action (bolt action) riffles will be limited to no higher than 630 FPS. Sub machine guns (Thompson, MP-40, Grease Gun etc) will be limited to no higher than 400 FPS. Semi auto weapons (M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, C96 Carbine) will be limited to no higher than 450-500 FPS Heavy machine guns (30 caliber Machine Gun, MG-42, MG-34, BAR) will be limited to no higher than 500 FPS. As far as re-spawn rules: We are going to run this game as we ran the Battle of the Bulge game. The attackers will continually be able to re-spawn and regroup for the offense. However!!! We have made one excellent change. The attackers will not have unlimited re-spawns. We are going to instead use a token system. Tokens will be kept in two separate containers at the re-spawn area of the attackers. When a player goes to re-spawn He or she will simply take a token from the reinforcements container and place it into the used bucket. The defenders will have area’s they need to hold. Once hit, the defender immediately falls back to the next line and prepares for the advancing attackers. The defenders also have a very limited reinforcements container that they can choose to draw from for counter attack operations or reinforcing the front lines. We are providing red kill rags that will be placed on your head/helmet when you are hit to display that you’re “dead”.

That sounds like a really good respawn system, the FPS sounds fine as well. That way nobody is dead for hours at a time, but it isn't a video game and you have the consequences of becoming "dead" in your mind, making supressing fire actually effective.
Any rules for magazines?

Oh... I want to mention that we are going to try and eliminate or very greatly limit the breaks between every major engagement whereas we tell everyone what is going on.
To do this, I think Sean and I agreed the best way to do so would be to allow the allies to move their reinforcement containers & re-spawn area, to areas of the field that they have captured.
Note:You allies are, for the greater part, on the offensive. We realize that means most of the footwork is on you guys for this event. I personally will suggest you guys work in squads, move slowly to objectives, carrying water on you in canteens; along with dry snacks such as peanuts/nuts, jerky, dry fruit etc so that you can keep your energy up throughout the game.
This means you will take short breaks on the field with your buddies whenever you feel the need. The game will continue however when you do this. There will also be a social area on the field whereas anyone can place a kill rag on their head and walk over to. This area will be for any none period food, drinks etc. All are welcome to come and socialize etc in this place. We will not be taking breaks on the game field this time and the game will flow continually from objective to objective.
NOTE!!! We still might all break for lunch dependent upon how the day goes.

We honestly have not talked about magazine rules much... Josh (Burt) mentioned how he liked ammunition limitations per class and resupply locations on field. I like that idea as well. However… again, I am unsure as of right now. However… there is still 25 or so days until the game day. I’ll talk with Josh and Sean tonight and hopefully we will come up with something fun and unique for this event.

Class limits would be good, but only if it were by carrying with you. I think a 'refill' station on the field would be cool. I have an Ammo Can (.30 cal Garand I believe) with like a million 6mm BBs - Don't know the gram - that I'll bring I guess.

Yeah, just wondering if I need to go get some lo-caps. Only have a hi-cap for each gun, lost my thompson lo-cap running around, and the M14 just comes with a hi-cap.

You should want to use low / mid capacity magazines anyway. It adds a bit to the realism. If you only have one High Capacity magazine… I don’t think anyone is going to bust your balls about it. Bring what you have; just so long as it is a ww2 gun. If we are going to have any rules whatsoever with regard to magazines. It will be ammunition limitations. “amount of ammo you can carry on you.”

I am all for ammo restrictions. That makes suppressing fire costly. [glow=red,2,300] I like ammo restrictions. [/glow] Besides, it is easier on the play field. Ammo should be shot at people and not all over the place like crazy. Do that in your own garage.

Yes, there is a possibility we may implement ammunition limitations, but as far as magazines go, any kind are acceptable. Like Ray said though, low and mid capacity magazines do much to add to the realism.
Neutral Zone/Social Area
I wanted to keep the main social area similar to how it was at the last game, however, instead of it being in the center of the field, we've moved it close to the parking area so it will be out of the way.
We will have tables and chairs set up, as well as the porta-john, for anyone who needs to use it. This area will also be the location for the main safety briefing and chrono. Afterwards your team leaders will be doing a sub briefing on your individual mission objectives at your team's respective camp area.
Once again, if you have modern equipment, please keep it in the neutral zone.
