Looks like it but it is a bastardized M1A1, not a 1921/28 Tommy as claimed. The reciever are all wrong. See picture below of what the 1921/28 should be like for comparison. Top 1921- Middle M1928 - Bottom is the M1A1

I suppose the question to ask is are you putting together an impression, and if so which one? As of right now, the only AEG out is the M1A1, without a review of the 21/28 nobody knows how well it performs. The M1A1 already ahs good reviews though, so its up to you

It would be possible to correct this guns receiver to the 1928 but it is rare that you will find any US forces after 1941 using a tommy with the front pistol grip. Early in the PTO in the Philippines and on Wake maybe but never in the ETO except by British forces used that vertical grip. All 1928's and 21's were converted to A1's with the horizontal foregrip and the use of the drum was again a PTO item. The 50 rnd drum was more prone to jamming. Maybe get a zoot suit and fedora with a cask of bathtub gin and you'll have the perfect ganster set-up... after wou fix the receiver. Otherwise just get the M1A1

The Cybergun M1928 comes out in a few weeks. It was supposed to be out a month ago but everybody bitched about it not having a top charging handle so cybergun had to address that issue. The new M1928 from them WILL have the top charging handle. The reason for the confusion is some websites are using the prerelease photos from cybergun where it has the side charging handle but the actual gun has it mounted on the top.
Kapowwe is an amazing site. I just bought a refurbished M1a1 from them and it is phenomenal. They ship fast and there's no BS. I highly recommend them.

I had seen pictures on the web of the cybergun tommy with top handle and side, I didn't know which one was legit so when I bought a bunch of stuff from Kapowwe I asked them what the deal was with it and thats what they said. Also there is someone on ebay that is preordering the new tommys with the drum and I sent him a message as well about the charging handle and he told me the same thing, except he said that since no one in the states has the gun in their hands yet he couldn't tell me for %100 sure.

That's incorrect, right?

So now there will be an M1A1 with a Drum mag, 21/28 sight, cutts compensator, finned barrel and top charging handle?
WOW this is gonna be weird. But hey I can get a Drum mag for My Tokyo Marui converted M1928 then.

Ok I got it all figured out. This is the picture floating around the web that has the top charging handle: i.ebayimg.com/24/!BPIsMLQBmk~$(KGrHAsian soldierjQEjlLmQu1cBJyJZ-wUdQ~~_1.JPG[/img] If you look at the gun it doesn't have the white trademarks and the drum is extremely shiny. If you look here: That gun has the trades from the AEG's and the drum looks much more legit. Going off of that information I would assume the following statements are true: 1. The new thompson from cybergun will NOT have a top charging handle. 2. When I asked for more information regarding the charging handle either A) I wasn't clear enough in what I was asking, or B) The information I got was incorrect. If I had to put money down i'd say it will NOT come with the top charging handle. There are so many pic's floating around that claim to be the actual gun i'd say its going to be impossible to know until it is actually released.

I had always thought the side bolt through the butt stock was absent on the 1921 but present on both the 1928 and the M1A1 Is that NOT correct?

there is almost no performance difference in my opinion between the screwed up cyma m1928 and the cyma m1a1 i shot both the only real diffrence is look and price get the m1a1 and get a 8.4v 1500mah battery (it won't damage the internals) but will inrease rof and battery life by approx 1-2 hours. besides the m1928 is like 230$ on www.airsoftmegastore.com and it looks gay. the only thing that saves the m1928 is the drum and vertical foregrip.
