The stubby barreled Guay and Guay Socom version of the M-14 were present in fairly large numbers at the NW Battle of the Bulge event (used interestingly by the Germans) I was impressed with their general outline and similarity to a Garand at first glance. (Almost looks like the tanker version of the gun which I know was never wartime issued) They seemed to perform well and are a decent alternative to an AEG Garand until someone chooses to build and market one. (Soon I hope!)

I got to play with one last weekend here locally as well- That is one heavy monster! which of course I like ;D Marushin is supposed to be making a 'tanker' garand as a little brother to the full size. I'm really waiting impatiently on the M2 Carbine with select fire blow back goodness -G

An AEG version of the carbine in my opinion would be even better and I wish someone did that. Let see, affordable, reliable AEG wish list includes: BAR, Garand, M1 Carbine, Grease gun MP-40, MP44 and 30 Cal. Hmmmmmm dream on I guess. A semi auto carbine gas or AEG would be snatched up by me very quickly.

yeah, would the M-14 be considered WWII use guns? becuase they where being tested during ww2, but not actually used. US didnt adopt it until the 1950's.

The T20, which was a M1 Garand with a 20 round BAR magazine was built by John Garand and tested, but was never released or issued, so no, the M14 wasn't really a WWII weapon. They were still using the M1 Garand in the Korean conflict, the M14 didn't see wide distribution until the early sixties in a small southeast asian county But since the M14 is really the 'son of the Garand' and what 2ndBat uses to make his Garand AEG's from, then it is certainly a better 'substitute' weapon than using a M16 as a BAR or whatnot ;D -G

if you just have a Support weapon m14.(m14 with bipod) then it would with allot of imagination look kinda like bar. 20 round support weapon.
