Well here it goes, I'm getting into this and then everyone does. My wife wants to tag along to some events but wanted to have the proper clothing. So, I haven't been able to come with anything so here is my question.
What was the proper attire (generally speaking... very generally speaking) for a woman in the German military? I'd rather not base it off of Indiana Jones...
Thanks for your time guys.

There are quite a few interesting options but here are some that have been well defined by the reenacting community that she should be able to find plenty of online support and uniform items for: Heer Helferin Luftwaffe Helferin German Red Cross (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) German woman's version of the Girl Scouts (Bund Deutscher Madel) Klaus www.272nd.org

Why not dress her up as a civi and have her go as your wife? In my opinion, too many "couples" in uniform at events. It seems to me that the average German soldier's wife would be a civilian

Believe me, that was my first sugguestion. I keep trying to swing it by her because it would be far more accurate considering doctrine of the time.

I've been looking over the RAD WEIBLICHE JUGEND but I can't seem to find anything on exactly what they wore. The photos I see of them are quite varied. Though I do notice that often there is a long wite strapped dress with a blue under shirt topped with a red cloth wrapped around their head. Surely this cannot be the uniform or standard work clothing though? Anyone care to enlighten me?
