Well, I decided I will do it. I am putting together all my '37 pattern webbing as we speak, and so beings the project. Hopefully within the next few months I will have a complete World War 2 Infantry impression of the Cape Breton Highlanders I won't be able to obtain a battledress for a bit, but by tomorrow I should have all the webbing I need. Here is a site which will help anyone who is attempting something similiar. www.canadiansoldiers.com/I'll have some pictures up soon

Good Luck I'd like to see more Canadian/Brit impressions. One question is all Canadian battle dress the greenish color? I've read that it was but see on a lot of reenacting web sites the reenactors wearing what looks to be brown( British color) uniforms. There used to be a guy on the web that would take your repro Brit battledress uniform and dye it the proper color. Looking forward to the pics

Yeah, that is true. There are not Reproduction Canadian Battledresses so I have found a supply of Canadian Army buttons and the proper dye to convert a British set.
At this moment I have a Original Canadian MKII Helmet on the way with original strap, net, and lining. All maker marked and stamped. Right size for my head which was a bonus.
I will have a good portion of the webbing tomorrow as soon as I swing by the Army Surplus to pick it up. The uniform will have to wait until I start bringing in some money.

What gun do the canadians use? Did they use the Lee enfield no.4 as well?

SMLE, THe Mk4, Sten, Bren, Thompson, PIAT, an' a few others. They were not allwed to drop their gun in favour of a German weapon as stated by a few vets.
