Hey Tyler, good to see you around, we missed you the last couple of events. Call Les at Ground Zero he can probably hook you up with what you need. Gerry

I take it that there is no camping out the night before on site, right?
Also, can you pay the day of, or must you pre-pay?

Period camping would be great. I have plenty of zelts. For folks like myself and my buddy who are planning on attending, its a good 4 hour car ride. Being able to come up on Friday, camp out overnight, and be fresh and rested for Sat. would be a real blessing.

I second that. Three hour drive alone is no fun for me... thus camping out the night before would be 1: a fun and interesting aspect added to the scenario and 2: a simple solution to those with long car rides ahead of them just to go to a 1-day event.
I would definitely attend if I didn't have to drive up the morning of!

We may be able to work out sleeping accomadations for you guys that are traveling a long way. If you would like to arrive the day before please PM me here on these boards with the number of people in your group that need accomadations. Camping in Northern-ish Connecticut may be a bit Chilly in Mid November, If I can get the day before off from work, I may be able to set up camping and campfires on the grounds. It will depend on the Number of people needing such accomadations.

Hmm, looking att being at this one, CT isn't too far from northern NJ. Only problem is that I have a (mostly) complete 101st para. Add to that, I also am gonna be bringing up some heavier firepower (a 1919a4, along with my thonpson). Any potential problems there? And while i'm on that topic......anyone know where to get a REASONABLY priced 1919a4 bipod?

Bipods were on 1919a6's, 1919a4's used the M2 tripod, and rarer still were the Mk1 ER tripod which were leftovers from Mounted Cavalry divisions post WW1. Locating anything cheap for a M2 tripod is rare in itself. 1919a6 (and BAR) bipods demand almost the same asking price as the tripods. The replacement legs can be found for $20, the head which attaches to the muzzle bearing booster can run a $100 or so. The US made Israeli re-stamped bipods are slowly working their way back into the US.
I am bringing my demill 1919a4 conversion, I have spare M2 tripod, pintle, and T&E you can use.

It's alright, the 1919 i'm getting is actually complete, I just wanted to know if anyone had any for it, as that would make it a little easier to set up. Thanks for the info though.

The event is 2 weeks out, I am not sure if everyone is just going to show up or if there is just very little interest in a single day event. After the Rhineland event where 95% of the participants only participated in the Saturday Manuevers we decided not to plan on a full on 24 hour event, The only ones that woke up on the field for Sunday was My brother Mike and I especially since it will most likely be in the teens at night for camping. We decided it would best be run like our "raid in the future" skirmish. This is also the weekend of the Stonington Tactical event hosted by 3rd PZG. We have planned on lodging at the Military Museum of Southern New England. You will still need to bring a sleeping bag, Pad and pillow. We had a great time last time, there were 16 of us, we had dinner than saw inglorious basterds and the rest of the evening was spent talking about history, authentic kits and WWII thanks to Gordak
Please shoot an email to WW2WFAA@aol.com to let us know if you will: 1. Be attending the skirmish 2. If you will be lodging at the Museum
Thanks, Gerry

This will be my first ww2 event. I've been playing airsoft for a while and love the idea of the historical stuff.
Count me in for the Volkssturm!
