Did anyone suggest a series based on Guy Sajer's "The Forgotten Soldier" yet? Plenty of material there. One problem with doing the German side for an Anglo-American audience is the politics. I expect there's still more than a few people who would be upset with German soldiers being portrayed as anything except "the Bad Guys."

I've always wanted to see different outfits highlighted in a series. You could focus on a theme or particular battleground like the Battle of the Bulge and then highlight true stories from individual companies within a division. You could skip back and forth between the Pacific and ETO. Shoot, you could do Navy and AAF episodes as well. I work at the National Archives on WWII stuff and I see movie worthy stuff every day.
I research military records including official military personnel files, medical records, morning reports, unit rosters, and court martial records at the NPRC. If you have an individual veteran you need researched please visit my site here: www.goldenarrowresearch.com/military-service-records.php
there is a new mini series that follows the story of five Germans from the evening before operation barbarossa to the fall of Berlin. very good stuff but not perfect. the title is unser mutter unser vater, eine andere zeit..(our mothers and fathers another time)
Dracul: It looks like it lost a lot of steam and I now feel bad for randomly dropping off.

stuka: I mean it's not your fault. It is interesting though that things are falling off as we are finally getting our ww2 guns with the type 38/96 and the enfield as well as it recieving a new loading system, it's kind of unfortunate

Dracul: I don't know, maybe its because all the guns are becoming available, there is a decreasing need for the forums.

Dracul: Most of the talk was about making guns, as all the uniform info was already out there, but now the weapons are out there and are usually decent quality.

stuka: well the forum is and should still be useful for updates on guns, creating groups/events and building kits

savoy6: anyone know if anyone still carries the enfield?

Dracul: I think Redwolf has a Enfield. If not or not longer, then not until G&G releases theirs. The old gas Iron Airsoft brand SMLE isn't carried by anyone anymore and was such piece of crap. Not worth trying to track one down.
