I am trying to find a 506th PIR Co. E complete impression. I already have a mussette bag and Corcoran paratrooper boots. BTW are the 5cell 30rnd mag pouches historically accurate?

Just let him do whatever he wants. But you might want to check out other units instead of jumping on Easy Co. because you have seen Band of Brothers. For 101st Airborne you will also need an
- M42 jump uniform - a helmet with the spade on the left hand side, you can also add a net and helmet scrim - M1936 suspenders - pistol belt or cartridge belt for the M1 Rifle carlisle bandage pouch - M10 waterbottle and pouch - jump gloves - boot knife - first aid pouch
there is a lot of other stuff that you would keep in your musette bag but you won't really ever need most of it this is all I can think of right now I think the five cell thompson pouches are historically accurate
feel free to voice corrections or additions

Also the correct M2 helmet with correct fixed D-rings. Jump uniform with reinforced knees, elbows and pockets, pistol belt with rigger pouches.(I've seen no pics or 101st guys with the cartridge belts), let down rope,M3 trench knife with scabbard,M2 switchblade knife, wrist compass, leather gloves, gas mask with proper case. And instead of the 5 cell case you can use a rigger made case.

Too many vendors are selling regular fixed bale,or swivel bale helmets made up like Airborne helmets and charging a crazy amount of money for them. Correct paratrooper helmets were the M2 with the fixed D bale. Original ones are very hard to find, and when you do,they're VERY pricey! I picked up a refurbished one a few years ago at a reenactment and paid about $150 for it.

Wait than why does ATF sell a M-1C 506 airborne helmet. Thats confusing That is NOT the fixed bale M2. The M1C was a swivel bale helmet and liner made specifically for paratroops.

www.sacairsoft.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,40/page,viewtopic/t,27727/ Here is a little guide I put together from a few I found online and liked. Combined a few and made a pretty good one for my unit (502nd) and should give you a pretty good idea. Hope it helps!

I like the m42 better. Honestly, just for the cool factor. The m43 is probally a "better" uniform, I just like the 42s better

ya and at ATF the M42's are $130-$150! i thoughts that m42's would have more labor put into them

I really like the atf 42's. Most of my unit has them and they are very nice. WPG's are cheaper and I hear they are good, but I have no first hand experance with them. I made that gear guide myself. I found the photos online and in books and I just used a few differant ones to make a good one. I'm glad you like it.
