so i'm not relatively new to airsoft (got my first gun about 3 years ago), but i'll be completely new to WWII airsoft and was wondering what the recomended gun(s) and gear would be for a regular german infantryman and if anyone knew of any german groups/teams near western maryland to help me get started.
any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Well I'm no german expert but a good starter weapon would be an AGM MP40 or a converted K98k. Those two are both comercialy available on the forums or web. As for gear, whatever I need I get from hessenantiques.com Hope that helps you out!

Buy a Dboys K98k and JG BAR 10, then put the BAR 10 into the Kar98k

I attempted this conversion a while back and it isnt as easy as it sounds. What Id do is contact either TommyGunner or sgttom, these two sell converted rifles that turn out great.

Well I'd just leave it up to what you think looks best.

sounds good lol what about a side arm? i've here'd a few times that most infantry didn't carry pistols during the war, but i've heard the opposite on a few other sites. i was thinking of getting a WE P08 4" barrel, but i'm more concerned with historical accuracy.

Sometimes its required for airsoft but historically its not accurate unless your an NCO or Officer.

so would it just be easier to do an NCO outfit to cover it either way? and if so, what would the rank for that be?

You really shouldn't do NCO or Officer unless you have a decent amount of people to command.

good point. i'm mainly trying to avoid that kind of outfit at the moment because i haven't been able to find many convenient teams near western maryland
