Wow! Did not think they were that expensive. I checked my original, which was manufactured in PA, by AEC. Mine may have been the 24 oz version instead of the more expensive 32 oz. Will do a scale measurement to be sure, and then compare it to my gun. The main tube I shortened by only 3-4 inches.
There are replacement parts for these guns, I wonder if they would just sell replacement tubes, and front caps. Trust me, the handle portion of the gun is the most expensive part to manufacture.

Hum, have you considered building the lower half and selling those instead of the whole unit. It seems to me that is the hard part. Or at least a pattern for it?

I would love to if I had the time. A pattern would be easier, I will see what I can do about getting the scale for the smaller gun, and draw/trace/dimension a pattern for the lower.

Smaller gun? If you could come up with a pattern I would be all over that. I have a Hudson GBB that I was going to convert but I'd be much more excited about doing something like what you have done.

Very cool project!
You should build up the main display mag to make it thicker. I1/16 in metal strip wraped around would give the proper width. O a sheet metal outer shell.
