Wow Thank you so much!! let me get back home tonight and see everything with new eyes! My problem is that I'm not using a stock ferrule like you have in this picture b.imagehost.org/view/0881/garand2 I want to use the M14 one ps: IS that real wood? cuz the inside looks like not! How did you paint the stock like that?

I(with the help of my father) glued wood veneer onto the plastic stock. So yes, it's real wood, but it isn't solid wood.
I see a problem with using the M14 ferrule because it doesn't connect to the lower band, thus making the gun a lot less durable.

Thank you so much Seff! More doubts here.. I've continued sanding today and getting more the shape! Also I've tried to see the next steps in but......more doubts coming llo Do I need to extend that lower barrel the one that goes back and forth with the bolt? 1ST PICTURE: img136.imageshack.us/img136/9492/90470455.jpgSince I'm gonna use the M14 Stock thing and don't have a ferrule to put it I'm gonna use the m14 one... (I will sand it down to make it more thin but... how should I glue it?! Epoxy only? 2ND PICTURE: img62.imageshack.us/img62/8273/91830913.jpgAs you see I've come into problems....how should I fixe the M14 stock ferrule with this? Use only a Screw and epoxy it? 3RD PICTURE: img99.imageshack.us/img99/9954/14024827.jpgSince I'm not gonna make a outer barrel bigger and mine fits just fine how long is that outer extension and how should I fix it to the gas assembly?? Thank you so much once again guys!

I dunno, 2ndbat has more experience using the M14 parts. I'll let him help you with those parts of the project.

What I did for the stock ferrule was I took the old piece of plastic, which is now cut off, that the ferrule slided into and plastic welded it back on.
For the sling swivel I'd just put two screws in and to keep them from getting loose and coming out I'd put a bolt on the other end.
The extension is just for looks so just buy a metal copper pipe from the hardware store cut it the right length and glue it on.

Have a look at my pictures again - there you'll see how to make the upper handguard fit snugly against the stock. You make it thinner, and then cut a indent in the metal part of the receiver to make it fit.
As for 'securing the top part of the gun with the stock', do you mean apart from the trigger group holding the receiver down? You'll have to add either a real stock ferrule or something that works like one - it'll have to fit into the lower band, that way holding the stock at the far end.

I got it the rear handguard (the one near the sight) now aligns well everything looking good! Now...I'm gonna use 2ndBat technique for securing the stock with the barrel! But I just don't get how will I fit my LowerBand with the M14 stock ferrule. this is the technique....

That technique uses neither the lower band OR the stock ferrule from the M1. Minor correction: When talking about guns, the front is the muzzle end of the gun - thus, the front handguard is the one closest to the sight, and the rear handguard is the one closest to the receiver.

Ohhh sorry! Didn't know that! Hmmm I guess Im' gonna use another techinque I want to use the lowerband, I will study today a way to attach the stock to the top of the gun! Now about the Gas Assembly, how do you guys Attach it to the Rear Handguard? mine fits there but...If I get a little violent it will fall for sure!

You could put in a small screw to keep it in place.

Almost finished!! Just need to epoxy the sling ferrule just for show... and paint the lower band black (it's kinda rusty now) and finaly the Tip of the barrel! You guys talk about a Cooper Pipe but how long should it be from the outside of the Gas Cylinder? Here some pics of what I have now.....I will also give it a little more brownish look to it, its too dead now ABOUT THE MAGS: I've got 15 of them and tried to dremel the back and sand of the top...everything looks fine but when I put it, it clicks fine and feed nice! but to take out.....it's a pain in the ass..... Any tips?

Looks great , just one small suggestion , you might want to remove the fire mode selector switch , Garands are semi only.

Awesome! Hopefully your build will inspire many others.
In looking at your lower stock work you added more additional shape than was probably needed. It looks great but all you need to add is enough additional shape to carry the mag well forward where on an M14 it begins to angle in Continue that line straight to just beyond the mag well, Add a slight bump and then taper to the front. It will probably hold up just fine but I'd be concerned with that much resin augmenting the lower stock
About 80% of my customers have me remove the selector switch and the M14 charging handle brace and fill in the gaps created on the stock. I'm happy to do it. However many customers are okay with the subtle difference in apperance it creates and prefer to have the otion of firing full auto for when they use the rifle in conventional skirmishes. I am fine with it either way.
I like the shades you use and the rifle looks terrific. Great job!
