So here goes my tutorial on how to convert your cheap MX-991/U, into a WWII TL-122 B, C, or D. Start off by taking apart the flashlight. put the bulb end of the flashlight back together in order shown here. Get out the handy dremel tool and cut the fins off the body. (Dont do the next two steps if you are making a TL-122D(came out in late 44) next use one of the Dremel sanding cylinders and refine where you cut the fins off, and sand down the flare on the bottom piece. next bondo up the threads on the bottom piece. and sand them to make them look something like this. use Scotchbrite pads, and roughen up the plastic so the paint will stick well. Then paint it with At the fronts Helmet paint, or testors FS 34087 Olive Drab paint. And there you have it, a cheap way to get you that WWII TL-122 you wanted.
