Ok. I've searched far and wide for something to use for a camo net. I have check craft stores, surplus stores, hardware stores, sporting goods stores, no one has NATURAL square netting. Any one have any ideas.... I have a ton of green and brown burlap waiting to become a camo net and I can't find the net! I really don't want to have to tie my own together.... yikes.

You wanted big enough to cover a vehicle right?

Pretty much... I wanted to make a few of them, one for the truck, one for the A/T gun... I just can't find natural fishing net or anything like it to use. Some online here and there, but nothing that seems like it would work for what I want.

I have found reasonably close netting at craft shops and then by weaving the burlap strands in appropriate squares you can come up with a viable looking set up. I will caution you that WW2 netting once wet gets very very heavy! Storing it wet is also a bummer to consider.

Mold... yum.
I have checked a few craft stores. I will check a few more... It doesn't have to be perfect, just close enough once the burlap is added.

To bad they only come in white or other non military colors , otherwise Soccer Goal nets are the perfect size to make camo netting.

If you could find a non-nylon goal netting, it could be dyed to the appropriate color.

Is your burlap, the 2 inch wide US Army surplus stuff that comes on rolls? I have several rolls of it and have had the same problem finding net that looks like something they had during WW2 and is also a 2 inch mesh. I did just buy this but haven't opened the net up enough to see exactly what the size and shape is. It is sold as a 10'x30', canoe shaped net store.colemans.com/cart/us-gi-survival-net-p-2131.htmlIt is a dark green net and although it probably is a made of man-maid fiber it is not shinny like nylon.

Ah, looks good to me. THanks guys. I got the burlap from a fabric store, so it's 3feet wide right now.. ha ha.
