I am going to make a kar98k conversion and want to know what rifle is better. Since airsoftmegastore.com has low prices I'm going to buy from them.
AGM VSR-10: (http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/AGM_Metal_Bolt_Action_VSR_10_Airsoft_Sniper_Rifle_p/mp001b.htm)
JG Bar-10:

Use the BAR-10 the AGM VSR-10 is lower FPS, breaks quickly, and is not easily upgraded. I have used the BAR-10 various times it is much better. Anyways good luck with your Kar98 project.

I want to get a wood stock for it but don't know where to get one. Where should I look? Does a real steel stock work?

Yea you can use a real steel wood stock. It needs to be modified of course.

I'd suggest eBay. You could also try to get a Wooden Stock Dboys Kar98. I think Gunner Airsoft has them for $100.

Do VSR-10 upgrades work in BAR-10's?

Yes they work in the BAR-10 just not the AGM VSR-10.

Again about the AGM Vsr-10, how does it break easily?

From what I understand the internal components of the AGM version are of lower construction quality and build materials. Thinner plastic etc that snaps more easily under stress. I haven't worked with either gun yet but that's what I've heard.

The stocks and all other components seem perfectly durable on the Mp001 but the trigger assembly fails to hold the rifle cocked on a significant number of the rifles I built soon after and in some cases during construction I ended up eating six of them out of eight that failed within just a few weeks or months of purchase.
No airsoft gun is without failures but the MP001 is especially bad and the Bar 10 is much much better.
