Nice to see Garands! and a group rather than individual shot. The lighting is also very cool. There is so much that is right about the presentation that it is nitpicking to find much wrong. Grime, blacked out faces etc can help facial hair become less obvious. Thanks for sharing! BARs were not part of the Airborne units official tables of organization but they absolutely found their way into some troopers hands so I certainly don't have any issues with seeing it.

Hello everyone, new to the forum here, basically my friends and I are a group of airsoft players / WW2 reenactors from Hong Kong. We mainly do: 2nd Battalion 502 PIR 101st Airborne USMC Wehrmacht & Waffen SS Soviet infantry meanwhile, I have just started doing a british commando impression as my own "side project", hoping to branch out to british airborne and maybe infantry once i get hold of a No.4 SMLE.

Just saw the last few pictures. You guys look great! I took advantage of the latest freak snowstorm to get a shot of my Battle of the Bulge impression. While far from complete everything is both correct and outside the boots, gloves, and M1 belt, all original:

A Brazilian "Soldado" (private) poses for a photo next to a German captured howitzer, 1945. He wears the model B-1, dark olive-green twill uniform with wool side cap and civilian scarf, he also runs a pistol belt.

I posted this one as a "Happy VE Day" greeting for my Facebook friends, but figured it wouldn't hurt to share it with the boards... didn't know whether to put it on the Allied or Axis thread due to the content, but given who has the upper hand here, I figured this would be the right place:

This is from last June, USMC generic impression. Now, before anyone goes on a tangent about the beard, remember this the PTO AND the Marine Corps. Eugene Sledge in his book 'With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa" talks about Marines going INTO combat with full beards, not just growing them during combat. But, while I'm at it, I will add that my dungarees are actually filthy and I added some black grease paint to give myself a dirty look. Uniform: P41 jacket from ATF (original pin back EGA pinned to lapel), P41 trousers from WWII Impressions, boondockers made for "The Pacific" (since replaced with new ATF boondockers WITH corded soles) Front seam helmet with WWII Impressions slotted helmet cover, Westinghouse liner with early rayon webbing and fixed chinstrap Original army contract pistol belt, ATF USMC pack suspenders, x2 repro 2nd pattern USMC canteen carriers with 1918 dated canteens and WWII dated cups, repro 5-cell Thompson pouch (replaced with an original unmarked), original M2 and M1924 FA pouches USMC dog tags made by www.usmwwiicdogtags.comM1 Thompson Submachine Gun with repro Kerr sling Not pictured: M1941 haversack w t-handle shovel and cover USMC poncho dated 1944 s1056.photobucket.com/user/mroe11/library/Stitch%20knot%20see?sort=3&page=1

Finally getting around to posting in this thread. Took some photos during a game here in Texas today; this is a generic "Iwo Jima" setup. Excellent and skirmishable. Sorry for the blurred face! imgur.com/a/RzwIfKit list: CYMA M1A1 Thompson with 20rd-style magazine KWA M1911A1 Clothing: - WWII Impressions P41 utilities - ATF M41 field jacket - ATF USMC t-shirt (green) - WWII Impressions N-1 field shoes (USMC boondockers) - fantastic! - ATF USMC leggings - Post-war M1 helmet shell with some type of wartime liner refurbished with ATF helmet kit and ATF camouflage cover - Original Hamilton "ORD DEPT" mechanical watch with OD Goss-brand watchstrap (sadly the radium luminescence has long since decayed...) Webbing: - Original M1936 pistol belt (US-marked) - Original M1941 USMC pack suspenders (first pattern with flat buckles) - Original M1910 canteens in ATF reproduction first-pattern USMC canteen covers (artificially aged over the last few years while bouncing around in a truck toolbox...) - Original M2 jungle first aid kit - 2x original M1942 first aid kit pouches with original Carlisle bandage tins - Original M1916 Boyt .45 holster (for KWA M1911A1) - Original M1910 .45 ammo pouch (marked P.B. & Co. 1917) - Original USN Mk.2 dive knife (Camillus)

Funny, seems most of the enemy troops around these parts are wearing hoodies and skate shoes and carrying M4s!

Looks really great! You really look the part. I would recommend blackening your hands too, especially if you have blackened your face already. Uncamouflaged hand movement can draw a lot of attention to your position.

How is my squad going to see my hand signals then?
