at that event it was really mixed. One half the day early war stuff, like 'canal and Gloucester, the other half late war stuff, Okinawa, and Iwo. If I were to judge this photo by uniforms, gear and environment, I would say Saipan.

Looks great! Once you get a dirt on the gear an uniforms you'll look like a Tarawa Marine!

Beautiful background on the first photo, are you in the Balkans? The second photo in the bamboo grove looks spot on.
Super job!

Gadge, I like the Major, 2nd Battalion South Staffords impression, is that a Webley in the holster or a S&W .38?

I own a real 1943 webley but that was an airsoft event so in the holster it's a Tanaka M10 which looks a bit like a S&W 'victory' which was a popular private purchase pistol for officers. Until someone makes an affordable decent airsoft webley it will have to do! Side by side comparisons of the m10 and my webley....

Love the Webley! Just sold my R.I.C .455 Webley, and turned it into a Inland 6/44 dated Carbine, but that's another story.
I have an M10, and have considered putting Victory grips on it, any thoughts on why that would not work? Did you have to drill out the grip frame to put the lanyard on the M10?

Yep, had to put a split pin and some washers in the frame for a lanyard loop. My mate Evo actually has replaced the grips and he said it was no hassle at all. I've got a set waiting for me at his house i've just not got round to changing them!

My humble Red army sergeant impression. All of my stuff aren't included in the picture because it would look like a mess :S Attachments:

That beard mixed with some beat up USMC dungarees and gear would make a killer USMC impression

The leg ties were intended to help the pockets survive the jump itself and were often removed or tucked away afterwards. Their presence (or absence) is fine either way. The BAR was actually quite rare amongst jump units with the only authorized issue of them being in the glider regiment but there is no doubt guys finnagled them into the airborne units as well. Its awesome to see such a good mix of weapons. Thanks for sharing.
