Just as a random thought has any one ever made an m1 carbine out of an m14? ;D

No, not really. It still needs the reciever done... I have been too into other things lately to finish a lot of my airsoft projects.

I am really tempted to try this my own way, a couple quick questions? How long is the barrel from the top of the muzzle to the bottom piece of stalk? (the barrel you can see) And how long is the overall length of the stalk? And in turn that will give me the whole length of the m1 carbine.

I have three of the real deal, I can take some messurements of the whole thing overall in a couple of differant places and help you out... I'll try to pull them out tonight and help you out. I will also take some photos of my AEG to show you exactly what I did. It wasn't hard.. it was time consuming.. and cost a bit of $$ as I had to use real m1 carbine stock and sights and barrel band.

Yeah that's what I thought it looked simple enough and I certainly have the time. I would really appreciate the measurements if you had the time to do that, thank you.
