Cute little Phillipino resistance girl Mango. Looks like the airshow was a lot of fun. That isn't Jeff Highs Jeep with the 50 Cal. Any ideas whose it was?

That jeep would be Joe Halls. The air show was great! A lot of people turned out.

Thanks for the kind words, but I have seen alot of transitional items used by the Marines throughout the war both USMC and army marked, most Khaki with OD trim, and some transitional items being as early as WW1.

The boots I belive are something along the lines of the pattern one service shoes, and are very close to what Cap Zak sold a while ago but come in a smooth leather finish.

Got any Photo evidence of transitional items from world war 1? I'd like to see marines with a transitional wire cutter pouch in 42' also, I highly doubt they used transitional items in world war 1, but i can i be wrong im only human. The earliest date i have seen for transitional is 43' -Nick

Sure Ill look through my photos as I have seen several WW1 items ( some on the net too) also the wire cutter pouch is a 42 dated item and the OD is not as OD in reall life as it is in the picture.

Thanks! I figured I could get a pacific theatre impression going since you rarely see any Army ones. And it seems no one ever hears about the 11th Airborne. With such great operations as the Los Banos Raid its amazing no one has recognized them a whole lot.
