No one ever said "every" paratrooper had a .45. Just more then leg infantry would have had. Originally ALL paratroopers were going to have them, however this was not actually practiced. Those who were around early kept there sidearms. So there were a lot of paratroopers that wouldn't have normally had a sidearm that had a .45 on them. Every German Falschirmjaeger was supposed to be issued a sidearm, at least according to the pre-war plans, since their weapons were dropped in weapons containers. Not sure if they continued the practice once they had real war experience.

Not sure if they continued the practice once they had real war experience. I know the Falschirmjaegers were all issued sidearms, but I have read that orginally the US airborne had also planned all paratroopers to have .45s, however this did not last. Those who had already been issued them kept them. This pretains more to the 82nd then the 101st. I'll try to see if I can find the book... Thanks Guys! I'm excited and look forward to joining up with the 502nd! Croatia CRO-ARMY Awesome! Looking forward to meeting you soon! We'll get you set up in no time!

nice website. you should include your current membership and armament. I'll get to a members page with everyone's name and rank and position. We have an armment page on Sacair and I linked to it, although it's more of a guide... maybe a Unit armment page would be cool. What we have as a group. I like that!

ya like what weapons the group has at their disposal. I know you guys were looking for an MG crew for a while. Might be cool to put that up there for beginners that don't have weapons yet.

Thank you. Even using a templete it was a lot of work! Right now I have to do a lot of spellchecking and editing I'm sure. I can't spell and I know I have some misspellings and typos. I also want to put the impression and weapon guides on the site instead of just a link to Sacair. I couldn't get the HTML to work on the site with the guides so I would have had to make them all over again, and the guides took days for me to make so I didn't want to do it all over again. Once I figure out how to just copy them I'll put them on the site as there own page instead of a link.

M43s! Getting a Market Garden/Late War loadout started. Danielle got super lucky and we found a W.A.C. wool shirt and M43 jacket so they fit perfect.

It was actually a mixed game, however when I heard they were going I made sure to get out there, even if we both had low numbers show up it was good to get togther with them finally. Hopfully soon we can get some full scale stuff going.
