Rifled barrels on an airsoft? Ive never heard of something like that but I dont think it would help I mean rifling means that there are a lot of gaps around the bb so I dont know but it sounds really cool.

A rifled barrel for a sphere is a waste of time The best way to increase your FPS on a gas rifle is shoot it on a hot day and use the most expansive gas the gun can handle. Green gas will perform better than the HFC134 but creates more stress on the gun and moving parsts. Another approach is finding the best weight BBs for your rifle. Oddly enough the Marushin Garand when functioning properly exhibits higher velocity with 43 gram 8mm BBs than the 34 gram 8mm BBs. (Initial power is slower which builds up greater gas pressure before reaching the muzzle.) The highest quality BBs you can buy will also help. Finally insuring that everything is as properly sealed as possible is always critical with any air gun.
The design of the Marushin gas Garand does not allow for consistency or durability no matter what you do however.

the tk twist barrel is different from a rifled barrel. all it does is regulate airflow around the bb. it provides more accuracy even than a tight bore.

I might add the the TK twist barrel was designed in Japan and made to work at 1 joule. This is about 300-330 FPS where test have shown longer range and tighter groupings. The TK does this by using the twist to create a layer of air around the bb. This centers the bb in the barrel, the twist is not rifling and does not touch the bb.
Having a higher FPS and using heavier bbs to get down to 1 joule does not work.
