lol. Most of my friends are jewish, in Howard county its not the Bible belt it's the Torah belt! That's also why we have no chance with Germans. Those who would can't afford the $2000 uniform (what kid, or adult really wants or can afford to buy clothes that expensive?) Just for the sake of historical reference GI's in Europe would commonly swap their carbines in favor of Garands. This is not the case in the Pacific though, when weight matters over power when you're lugging a weapon around for days until you make contact with the enemy, and Japaneise soldiers wore thin clothing whereas a pistol bullet has no problem penetrating. Engagements were also close range since the jungles on most islands. But against Germans who wear thick wool clothing and even thicker clothing during winter months, and engagements were at longer ranges. Anyways it's just airsoft and ironically the airsoft carbine has a higher fps than the Garand

I bought a complete Heer uniform with helmet and soft cap boots and webgear for around 650.00 all told. It can be done well and still done on a budget/

I've never met a Jewish person who doesn't hate germany, well at least Nazis. Though the SS seems a little unbelievable for someone of Jewish faith to reenact I'm sure alot of Wehrmacht soldiers had no hatred of Jews.

I can understand not wanting to do German because of your Jewish religion but seriously WWII Airsoft is worthless without anyone to fight. ;D Also you could get a killer German impression for $1000. You could get a very decent one for $500. You could get a passable impression if your thrifty for under $200.

Our Jewish guys have no problems portraying SS , the know it's just make believe and not real so they have fun doing it. Like Tom said , without Germans all you have it's a bunch of guys in US uniform running through the woods.

Oh it's not me who's jewish it's usmcscarano. I am amazed that you got repro at that price! For me I like to buy original for collecting and historical aspect, but for airsoft if I was German I'd buy repro since you don't want to damage a $2000 original uniform.

Yea you can get a used reproduction Tunic and Trousers for about $150 or less. You'd have to be crazy to field an original German tunic nowadays!

im only like 1/8 ethnic jewish, but my great grandfather's cousin died at aushwitz, i know its make believe, but i was just making a joke, besides im short and olive skinned and black hair, so it wouldnt look right at all unless i went fascist italians since im italian anyway lol. i dont know how hard it is to find a group of nazi airsofters around, but i think im going to stick with US and i think i decided just to get a thompson, just to be on the monetary conservative side, then mabye upgrade later to a garand ps dont ever get married, weddings drain all of your funds lol

Completely understand. Thompsons are great guns. I made the mistake of buying an AGM MP40 as my first gun. It only holds 50 rounds in the mag and has a low fps, so range is a concern. My CYMA M14 is coming in the mail tommorow, so finally I don't have to deal with that gun anymore lol.

Naw I'd say the AGM MP40 is a good first gun. Not the best range but you can upgrade it. Certainly what you'd want to get if you are a German.

Sad to say, I bought it because of call of duty. I'm not a freak show about the game but playing the WWII COD games gave me knowledge of the guns used. Then I researched, found out alot about the guns, and started airsoft. Then I trampled upon this website while seaching for some kind of WWII airsoft place last September. January 2010 I bought the MP40 and thought it was great until I went up against my friend with his hi cap Thompson. With careful use of ammo I still ran out with my two 50 rd mags. I'm not a COD nerd I play the game because it is fun, and of have all my information from books and documentarys. And now everytime I see a historically innacurate thing in video games it annoys me so much.

COD didn't start my interest of WWII but it did show me the weapons used in the war. Before then I could probobly only point out a Thompson. AGM could be good but Im American anyway so I got the M14 to make a Garand conversion.

I don't have much either. I have a jeep cap, WWI pistol belt, M44 suspenders Austrian M1 Helmet, and a beat up M45 field pack. And for airsoft I have an M14 and a fully liscensed M1911A1 springer. In the next month I'm planning to buy a WE M1911 and wool uniform, M43 jacket, cartidge belt, M36 combat suspenders, and service shoes. I have $450 burning a hole in my pocket. Maybe later on I'll get a repro M43 jacket/pants and wools. And I'll start my garand conversion.

M45 field packs were VERY rare.

I meant to say that stuff. And gaiters, need those. The M45 field pack is dated in the 50's anyway, so I doubt it's rare, but I know WWII dated ones are. I can get the uniform all at one place (not online, a huge Battle of the Bulge reenacment) and does anyone know how much handguards are on sarco? The walnut front and rear handguards w/ metal sets? Later on, since I'm buying original, I'll get some repro wools and M43s. After that, I'll get gear based on price and rarity, since I don't want to ruin a genuine US uniform.

Maybe well see you guys there then. I don't know how likely it would be, since we don't know each other. if you are running a station tell me where it is and I'll stop by with some questions.
