Does anyone know the technical differences between the JG M24 and the JG BAR 10?
Thanks, WhiteRook

They appear to be very similar and obviously a good question. I wish I knew as sometimes the BAR 10 is hard to come by especially without the gobbleygoop scopes and bipods etc.

The M24 and BAR 10 are similar with the internals but that's about it. The magazines are very different, the M24 uses the body style of the actual M24 in Army service now and they cost a lot more. 2nd Bat, airsoft megastore has BAR 10's in stock without all the unnecessary add ons again if you didnt know.

Don't quote me but it appears that the mag has the locking mechanism on it like the old APS2 sniper rifles as opposed to the VSR10 approach with the push button on the stock. I prefer the locking mech on the APS2 mag by the way. This however may make it problematic if you have a stock with not much room out the bottom like a Mosin Nagant. I'd have to guess that upgrades for it might be harder to get ahold of as well, however, it might take upgrades for the APS2 which would be wonderful. Buy me the gun and the parts and I am willing to convert it just to get a look at it and see if it is a good gun to make conversions with...lol

Airsoft GI sells them, they are under the name of Javelin Airsoft Works. I would rather get the newer Echo 1 M28 they sell there though.

Killjoy, Thanks for the headsup on Airsoftmegastore SGT TOm turned me onto them a couple months ago and they have proven to be a worthwhile resource. Their pricing is sure good and shipping is included and handled quickly. I have bought several batches of Bar10s from them. They are all pseudo WW2 rifles now!
