Do I need to be a member of WW2AA to attend this event? And if so, where do i send the waiver form to ( mail or email, or can i bring it to the event?)

Waivers will be provided on site and do not need to be signed in advance. There really is no official WW2AA membership, but you do need an acceptable WW2 impression to attend. If you have questions about what that entails feel free to send me an email or PM.

Exactly!
With this event only two weeks away, we really need everyone to step it up and register. Let's get the momentum going, there's snow on the ground already, the field is great up there, this could be a lot of fun.
Come on guys, let's get some commitments in here and have a great event.

Zach that is a very selfish post I must say! That is not going to drive people to register. This event will host a good showing I am sure of it! It is the inconsiderate nature of attendees that do not pre register and just "show up" to allow the event coordinator to adequately obtain supplies for the event but don't you know they will be the first ones with their hands out when it comes to the chow line! This is one of the reasons I have moved away from posting a guest list. You register via Email or facebook and you get all the perks when doing so if not you pay more for starters and will be left out of other great stuff. Just so you know there are 21 people RSVP'd and 25 maybe attending on the facebook page: www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=feed&id=1545045177#!/event.php?eid=109633205773415&index=1 When I started to run events I would consult with warlord who had already hosted 3 big turnout events and he would always say "don't worry people always register in the last 2 weeks you'll have a good showing" Everyone have consideration for guys who host these events..... LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING!

I have some bad news folks. Unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel this event. I've never had to do this before but a number of factors played into my decision, one of them being the lack of registrations. The main house also just sustained some serious water damage and one of our bridges has become impassable and needs to be partially rebuilt. I cannot in good conscience continue an event where people may be driving great distances to play with 20 people or less in some unsafe conditions. I took a risk hosting this event at this particular time because the GAP was so close, but I also did not anticipate we would run into these other problems. We will have to do better next time.
The good news is we will definitely host events in the future, so I encourage you to check back in the summertime for more events. Once again thank you for your interest, all those that did register will receive an email.

So disappointed!
But understandable. It seemed that most of the chatter had been dedicated to the Day of Days event and that seemed to take some focus off of this event.
I'm hopeful the next scheduled event in March doesn't suffer the same fate.
But I thank Sean for all his efforts and agree with his decision based on the lack of registrations and safety issues.
Hope to see everyone in March.

Its not fair to blame this on the Day of Days discussion!
If everyone wants WWII airsoft event everyone must make the effort to attend!
These events were 5 months apart!
I am coordinating and planning a ton of stuff for our Luftwaffe barracks at Fort Indian town GAP this year, working my usual million hour weeks and was attending GR914's training event this weekend and I was still not going to let hell or highwater stop me from going to Amsterdam that weekend.
I must say I am a bit dissapointed...... I have been honing my Heer Infantry bulge kit for 3 weeks now. I can see if it was safety related but I hope the deciding factor wasn't because there too few registrants!

I was really hopeing for this event, I always wanted to go to amsterdamn field. I was very excited to use my german kit for the first time, but it will have to wait. I thank warlord for trying to put this event together but stuff like that happens. I hope to see everyone at the March event and any future events.

I wouldn't blame the day of days event thread at all that game is 6 months away. Just a lot of bad luck it sounds like. It happens. I moved my Oct event down here to Nov and I ended up with 31-32 players just a bad economy for the attendance.

Too Bad,Problems w/the house and bridge would just add realism, but,it's understandable, all things considered.i.e. safety, turnout. etc.etc..Looks like a really awesome place to play..

Gentlemen, Just to be clear, I was not blaming the "Day of Days" event for this event being canceled. I was merely pointing out that 90% of the chatter and excitement has been focused on the 'Day of Days" threads. Everyone is so excited and looking forward to that event that it just seemed there was very little attention (and registrations) for this event at all. The fact that this event and the Day of Days event is 5/6 months apart is my point. The Bulge event was around the corner and 90% of the posts (mine included) were not on The Battle of the Bulge event.
In regards to the cancellation, safety is definitely an issue, and in my opinion, Warlord made the right call. But I also feel the onus ultimately falls on the light registration that spelled it's doom. However I do strongly feel that all who were registered (including my party of 3) would have showed regardless of the sparse to date numbers.
To Gerry, his brother Mike, Warlord, Sam and a few others, we should all be thankful and appreciate everything they do to enable us to play and help perpetuate our hobby. All the time and effort that goes into the planning of these events has to be recognized and we as players have to step up, keep the momentum going, and get those registrations in.
By the time March 5th rolls around, we should all be chomping at the bit to play. Let's all step it up, get those registrations in and make the organizers job a little easier.
Thanks guys for all you do. See you all soon,
Joe
