Surprisingly with a long barreled gas gun like the Tanaka heavier BBs up to a point will actually increase the FPS and along with that the jouelles of power. Be careful there as depending on temperature you might exceed the FPS/ power limitations of a field you play at and present what others might consider an unsafe weapon.
My recommendation is you try assorted BB weights along with a Chrono and power/ FPS tables to determine what the optimal weight for that particular rifle is. If I had to guess I predict a 36 gram BB is going to work best although in hot weather it might be too extreme.

so in colder weather use heavier and warmer weather use a lighter bb Yes, because the gas is more powerful (expands faster) during warmer temperatures than in cold which increases the fps. The higher the fps the heavier the bb to maintain proper range/accuraccy.
