What are you talking about they had them in 1933 this was the first model i saw a pic once.....long ago with uncle adlof in the streets of berlin with them.........
In realiaty yes this is very stuped to make these items that never ever were on the drawing board for production and it is very sad that manufacturers waste time/ money to make these fantasy items!

McCallion >> They do it because uninformed reenactors/airsofters will snatch them up in a heartbeat! Just like all those 44 dot helmet covers and M43 caps, and FJ bandoleers. Never existed, but people still buy them!

and will then argue with you about being field made blah blah blah...meanwhile it's just an excuse to make sure all their camo matches. Makes me giggle kind of there is a serious camo fetish going with German reenactors both blank burners and airsofters I think...lol

I think they are badass, but it would just be something to throw in the pile of unusable gear. Would they be cool to have? yes, in my opinion. Would they be acceptable for an impression? No.

SOME but very few field made items existed durring ww2 like SS field caps but these were far and few between just like some tunics made from zelts but also VERY rare, the ammo pouches are way to hard to make in the field lol !

You know how you make a camo mag pouch in the field? It's called a bag.....maybe a piece of rope to throw it over your shoulder....lol

I live in a hot climate. The pouches would be perfect to go with these shorts and SS oak pattern T-shirt. The "don't ask, don't tell" SS impression

I think anything field made is badass, correct or not. Its not something I would use, i don't even have a full german impression. I have a thing for field expedient items, you don't need to have a tizzy fit because of it.

Deacon ~ Just poking a little fun at it man don't take it serious. Pretty sure the camo T-Shirts were not field made back in the day and I am doubtful on those shorts.

Field made, and documented are one thing, but just plain BS,or never existed is another. Modern day vendors make a killing off of uneducated reenactors.for any period,be it CW,Rev War,or WW2. They know theres that very small segment of the reenacting community that just does not care if a thing was used or not, they will buy something because,by God,it looks COOL!
Sturm makes those tee shirts in a lot of WW2,and modern camo.they are just that, tee shirts, not really meant for reenacting. The shorts, well, thats another story...

Not useful for WWII but post war use by the L.E.F. does make sense , those pouches could be used for a post war impression.

So it wouldn't be Flaggrantly Wrong to knot the t-shirt in front to expose the navel? Cool, Medium shorts, small T and those pouches. Reenact the SS Rainbow Division.
