Good! I'm not sure if I want to get this or a mosin nagant now, but I would be company runner in the blank fire group I want to join, so for living history (not tacticals of course, what use is an airsoft gun at blank fire?) it wouldn't be getting as scratched up at a living history, so the better finish is what it's all about. BOBAH, how did you get the stick-mag in?

More about the finish, I like the weathered look. It looks more original, and battle hardened. Does anyone know if you can take apart a real PPSh stick mag?

How about the 2000 round magazine from S&T Armament, anyone knows if that one fits with the hexagon?

My ares PPSH completely went to crap. I have had this gun for 1 year and 1 month. The round drum mag stopped feeding properly about 6 months ago. Before this, there was a point in which it would misfire and make very strange sounds, like if all the BB's were trying to be fired at once. About 1 month and a half ago, the piece that locks the charging handle came off and I noticed the charging handle was cracked. It is pot metal. Just yesterday, at a game, I tried adjusting the hop up. After that, it would not fire! Horrible. And I was using the stick mag. The range is very disappointing too. I have to position it in a very weird way for it to fire. I have had a very bad experience with ARES.

Yea the HP seems like a better option. I am sure the internal problems you are having could probably be fixed though tommygunner9. The cheap metal part can't though.

I wouldn't know how to fix it. I'd probably just end up making it worse!

My friends S&T had the same internal problems probably because it's a clone of Ares. His was already crap when he took it out of the box at Christmas, and he returned it and got a new one. When he showed me the problem, I remember the distinct sound of the gearbox becoming Guy on a short bused when he tried to fire it.

Funny, because I was planning on getting the S&T one to replace the ARES thinking that it was better. Now forget it, I'm going with Hexagon! And yeah, those PPSHs aren't really any good :\ A waste of hard earned money.

Yep clones aren't usually better then the original . I'd just try to fix your Ares rather then spend a ton of cash on an HP. Pay someone else to fix it if your no good at it.

I'll have to see. Local airasoft stores here in Miami where I live take forever to get to your gun. Not to mention it costs $60.00 to just open the gearbox!
