I have the older Marushin 8mm M1 Carbine, not the bolt-action one, it is semi-auto but is the one with the older darker type wood. Yeah that's the one with all the problems appearently I haven't had any huge problems with it since I bought it off of Redwolf airsoft about 2 or 3 years ago and I've used it tons, and only one or two jamming problems ever, the gas doesn't leak as much as people say it does, and I've also hit a Quarter with it at 15 away so it also isn't as inaccurate as people say it is. But up untill today when I was shooting it for the first time in a while since I got my AEG Garand for Christmas, I fired around 2-3 magazines when I heard a cracking sound and the bolt kind of stopped halfway. There is a HUGE crack going down the middle of the bolt now I use HFC 22 gas now because nobody sells the HFC134 anymore, could it be the more powerful gas? I remember my friend at the last WWII airsoft reenactment I went to said someone had the bolt blast off their Marushin M2 Carbine because of red gas. Anyway, I'm really not sure what to do. The last game I went to was at a place called ground zero and the guys who worked there knew alot about things like that and might know what to do. But getting a new bolt.. it is a marushin and I doubt marushin ever thought about making spare parts for their guns since I can't find it anywhere at all. I'm only 14 so I can't really spend a fortune looking for a new one, so i'd rather just get a new bolt if I can even find that. I'll put a picture up if someone can tell me how

That just happens. It happened to mine, as hard as it is to admit. But I bought a new, steel bolt from here: www.bbdragon.com.tw in the 'GBB Depart' section. It's a bad website and it took me over a month of back and forth with the guy that owns the store to actually ship it out. I got it today, and it works with some modification, but it has terrible gas efficiency with the new bolt!! I hope I can fix this as well.

Is it possible to disable the blowback entirely? I know its neat and all but it seems to be the cause of all the troubles.

As I just said on the other thread I made, problem solved now. I'll still be glad to help anyone who has problems with it.

Alright but what should I do about the crack, is there a way to fix it or do I need a completely new bolt? I'll post a picture if you can tell me how

A picture would be very helpful. The strongest fix, besides a steel bolt, would be to find someone who has a aluminum welder and weld it back up. It would be lots of precision work though, but it could be accomplished. At least yours is just a crack and not in two pieces like mine. With the steel bolt I'm pretty confident that it's not going to break. If it does I can weld it up with my welder. If you use the aluminum one, the same thing can be done with an aluminum welder.
