Wow! That has to be the best Airsoft video of WW2 I've ever seen. They blended the vehicles, troops, airsoft guns, sound effects, smoke, you name it. Certainly looks like the Airsofters and reenactors were both on the same page for that event. I'm speechless. Really, really a good video.

The authenticity is sure leagues above what I've seen here. Kudos to them.

Fusilier, would you please post a video of the one that is better than the French video? Or the location...That is one I would dearly love to see.

I'm wondering if the reason this is so good is because their gun laws are pretty prohibitive. Perhaps they can't even blank fire reenact. Maybe somebody from France could answer that. I.E. is this the state of reenacting in France or was this just an awesome airsoft event?

My understanding is that military firearms, including firrearms firing what are considered military calibers (7.62mm 9mm .30-06) are forbidden. That would make it hard on a reenactor. I wonder what the status of purpose built blank firing weapons is?
Any idea where this event was held? Was in near the real Operation Cobra?
You have to wonder how many broken down, abandoned military vehicles ended up in French farmers' barns and French scrapyards. When I was a kid it wasn't unusual to see WWII surplus 2 1/2 tons, Dodge weapons carriers and even cut down half-tracks on farms around here, but most of those have long since disappeared.
Interesting vid. Thanks.

Wow, I did not expect this much response. Glad to see you all liked it also. Being French I was able to understand and read their website and get more information on the location and type of event. Their website is ww2airsoft.fr/index.php and they seem quite active in the reenactment arena. The one from the video is the 3rd installment of a battle they recreate every year in September in Saissac, France. They are already planning Operation Cobra IV in the same location this year. The introduction of the video explains who they are and how they strive for 100% authenticity. He even goes on to say that once the people arrive and park they are all to enter the field in full 1944 gear with no modern items allowed. They seem to make multi-day events with large evening group dinners in the evenings. You can see one here In addition if you look at their "Albums" section you will see the amount of authentic props they have at their disposal. Check this out Looks like these guys are real serious and have quite a large following. At the Cobra III event they had over 150 people attend and the field at Saissac is 150 acres. I had to chuckle how the guys on the American side even tried to give orders in English with their French accents. Almost wants to make you purchase a ticket to France and join one of these Here are a couple more pics of the Cobra events just so that we can all drool. Finally if you want to watch them all they can be found at ww2airsoft.fr/phpBB2/album_cat.php?cat_id=18&sort_method=pic_view_count&sort_order=DESC&start=0

That is probably a custom Marushin single action M1 Carbine. Anyhow these guys did a fantastic job. I am sure their are some events even more realistic, however this is probably the most authentic airsoft one I've seen. They seem to do very well over in Europe. Probably because of the strict gun laws which limits regular reenacting, along with the fact that they have really cool places to play .

Hi guys, I see that the Cobra III video you like. I had the chance to participate in Cobra III. I played in an infantry platoon US (redbull). There were also re-enactors, mortar and shooting blanks simulate shots on the battlefield, so wonderful. My role in the section was to give the coordinates of fire by radio. L USM1 in the photo is a Marushin, but there was an electric. The sidecar camo is that of a friend who plays on the same team in the Gironde (France). Unfortunately this year there will be no Cobra IV, but there are others that are OP as well but with fewer vehicles .. If you have any questions I can answer, but my English is very average and I 'uses a translator to write you these lines.

Sorry to open this topic after such a long time. As I was searching the internet on Christmas eve I came across a picture of myself holding a panzerschreck. Maybe there are some people on this forum who are still interested in footage of this airsoft skirm. The videos I took during this event can be found on my website: I only posted one link but there are more vids on this event on my site The pictures I took can be found on: www.ww2airsoft.eu/media/thumbnails.php?album=56Well, have fun with the footage and images. ps: There were also Belgian and Dutch (me and a friend) players present, 750 miles for some of the best airsofting in the world!
