I'm starting to look at gear & uniforms for US Army (leg) and I've come across 3 sites that have what I'll need. I'm not able to start dumping cash on original gear so repro are fine for me. I havent' seen any red flags (like that WWII gun site) so I ask the group, are these all good dealers (no particular order)? What price glory At the Front WWII Impressions
Along with that, anyone with experience buying boots (I'm looking at the composition sole boot with the buckles up top) from the above sites, did you have any problems with fit (size is what they say)? Gear shouldn't be a problem but jackets and boots will need to be large, or wide boot, and I'd hate to buy a 54 M43 and find out it's really a 50. Thanks much.

Actually all those websites are the most trusted wwii reenactment website I know! You should read the m1 pencil, he writes reviews on their products

Good to know. Based on cost, size, and availability I'll probably have to hit all 3 for something.

Yep all are great vendors. As far as sizing I am not sure. I don't think any of them have any problems with the sizing.

At The Front is my personal favorite WWII vender, 70% of my kit came from them. ATF runs their sizing spot on, they make their cotton clothing like 10% bigger to account for shrinkage.
Last time I checked they have HBT pants for sale and they have the double buckle boots you want.
1st Pattern HBT Trouser Price: $50.00 Sale Price: $35.00 Size 42 and 44 only. You save $15.00!
Hope that helps

^ Yes, I must agree ... ATF is a great source. However, the HBT Trousers you pointed out are the early pattern sage green type ... without the cargo pockets. While still period correct, the 2nd Pattern darker OD trouses with cargo pockets was more common. If a guy is going for the HBT set as a uniform, it might be best to stick with the same pattern for both the jacket (shirt) and trousers. Pick either the early (light shade) or late war (dark OD) HBT's. BTW ... I was just looking for a pair of light shade trousers to go with my P42 Camo Jacket USMC impression ... you just saved me $15 THANKS!
