This Event will be geared towards Germany's last great offensive of WW2 in Belgium from 16 December, 1944 to 25 January, 1945.
We will concentrate our efforts based on U.S. VIII Corps. Maj. General Troy Middleton's "one order" to Temporary Commander of the 101st Airborne, General McAuliffe. "Hold Bastogne!"
We will finally have the U.S. forces holding their positions and repel the German onslaught.
This event will be held at Ground Zero Airsoft, Terryville, CT.
More planning and details to come. Cast your reference vote now.

I hope the January date wins I could possibly make it out for a January event, I believe I'll still be on winter vacation from school then.

Something to also consider when voting, the January date is Martin Luther King weekend and some have off that Monday.
What I'm also considering is a two day immersion. Not sure on that as the weather is a factor.
Just food for thought.
More details to come guys.

It has been brought to my attention that the Fort Indian Gap event is two weeks from the January 14th date. However, Gerry has told me that it may not happen this year.
Just food for thought.

I'm definitely in for this if it is a two-day event. Two days makes the ride up worth it for me. Sounds like it should be a fun event!

Just a note to let everyone know that this event is alive and well.
I haven't been posting updates because I want to wait until "The War behind the Eastern Front" event is over.
Plan on this being a two day event in January. I know it'll be cold, but that will just add to the event. Just think of the 101st in their foxholes, holding their positions or maybe just maybe the allies will get to defend a town against a German counter attack.
More to come next month...........

Now, the real question is, all those that voted for January........ Will they actually show up or chicken out because of the snow and cold.

Is the GAP event still on? Gerry informed me a while back that it may be off this year. If anyone has definitive info, please respond and include the date.
Right now the Date is Saturday, January 14th (and possibly 15th). I've picked this date as Monday, January 16th is a Holiday for some (schools closed) thus giving some a 3 day weekend.
But if we have to change this date due to conflicts, etc. I will.
Please let me know gentlemen.

Well there is a lot going on today regarding upcoming events and I don't want us to lose focus on Brandon's event. After speaking with him earlier today, I have no doubt it will be one not to be missed.
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up for some new protocol and offerings that I will incorporate for "Battle of the Bulge'
As soon as I am able to come up with a cost estimate, we will be accepting registrations and event fees via paypal. This has been something that all the event producers have discussed and we all feel this is the best way to insure attendance and a operating budget. I know this has been done before, so there is a precedence and of course there will be a discount offered for those who go this route.
In addition to the registration, I will be accepting orders for exploding pea grenades and smoke bombs. The grenades (German or U.S) will be $10.00 per and the smoke bombs will be $4.00 per. I had a case of each at Day of Days and literally ran out in about an hour. I know these are hard to come by and it's much better to order in bulk, so I think this is the best way to do this, they add such a better dimension to the game.
So stay tuned for more news and hope to see everyone real soon.

I never camped out in a tent in sub zero temperatures. This is going to be interesting. I think a WW2 wood stove would be perfect for this
