Hello! I just wanted to ask, do you speak the language of your impression? ( not counting English for the Americans) Like German, Russian, or even Italian or Japanese? Thanks! Because I just wanted to know how many people do this, because I'm learning Russian for my red army impression. Спасибо!

I speak a little English, lots of dialects that most people wont recognise or understand, for my British impressions, some versions of american inglish for my American impressions.

I now a litte french and german and had a ukranian ex girlfriend so learnt some 'choice phrases' in Russian/ukranian.
Skirmishing I tend to know a few commands in German but unless the rest of your side know what you're shouting its a bit pointless...

Yup, but as said... learning 'battle'german is utterly pointless if you dont do it a a group as you're just the loon shouting odd words and waving their arms about! Language needs to be two way to be of any use.

Yea that is true. The thing that annoys me is when some guy comes up to me talking in German like he expects me have any idea what he is saying. Ego problems I guess.

Spanish is my first language , Italian my second , i learned Italian from my Great Grandmother , she spoke no Spanish at all and when we went to visit every other weekend we had to use Italian to communicate with her. This was my Great Grandmother who had a portrait of Il Duce in her dining room.

I took one year of German in HS, just enough to get the gist of it. I'm using Rosetta Stone to learn French and Italian for when I go backpacking in Europe in a few years.
If you have the money and are serious about learning a different language I highly recommend Rosetta Stone.

I plan on finishing, and moving on to German next. Good tip! (that's what she said)

I speak a lot of Spanish. My Spanish vocabulary lacks though. My first language is English. Hehe lacks, I can get an A in AP Euro and AP Chemistry but i'm sitting my fat ass on a D in Spanish 3, I just have horrible teachers though. I went to Nicaragua with a missions team a while back and I learned more in a week then i did all the years I've learned in school. My advice, immerse yourself in the culture and language...and rosetta stone. ;D But yea, other than that I speak fluent english and i can say "You didn't show, I'm going to beat you up" and "You come here often, baby?" in Russian and if i ever get to the Ukraine, I'm sure that's all I'll need.
