Been having this idea for a while but before I go any further has anyone ever attempted this before it seems simple enough sense its the same aspect of a M14 to M1 garand.Any suggestions or comments?

Yep it would be possible. Same thing as doing a regular conversion. I wouldn't suggest doing it though. Tanker extremely uncommon in WW2, probably non existent. It would be anymore work to do a regular conversion. The socom will work for a regular conversion by the way. You'll just need to get a new outer barrel.

Yeah it could work the same way as a full sized M1. They weren't really used during WWII but I guess if you go to a reenactment where not every little thing has to be perfect you can use it. One of my friends found a g33/40 stock (the carbine version of the kar98) and was going to use it to make an airsoft one but he was told it was so rare during the war he couldn't use it. you might want to make sure you could use it first at reenactments where you live

It was just an idea and I was going to see if anyone was interested in it.

Technically, it would be a T26. ;D Nice job. Not historically accurate in terms of use (it's possible a very small number were used on a test basis in the Philippines, but there's no documentation), but probably very handy in a game.

Since the front handgaurd is kinda time consuming I was thinking of making a "Mini-G" a cutdown Garand
