It is Autumn 1943 on the Eastern front. Germany is under heavy pressure from red army forces & partisan bands are causing chaos to the Wehrmacht supply lines, delaying or destroying much needed supplies.
On the outskirts of a small town just behind the front lines the Wehrmacht has set up a small camp for Heer, SS and Luftwaffe units to rest and refit.
Reports of partisan bands and insurgent groups have been heard, civilians sympathetic to the Anti communist Germans have confirmed these reports as well. The OberKomando der Wehrmacht (OKW) has sent orders to the camp to try and squash some of these partisan operations.

It is Autumn 1944 on the eastern front..... Germany has lost endless amounts of men and material. Devastating losses in Stalingrad, Moscow, Lenningrad & Kursk have left the Wehrmacht Beleaguered and broken. Regiments that are at 25% fighting strength are being pulled from the front and sent to "Osten Lager" to rest and refit.
A letter from O.gefreiten Horst Absecht
"Dearest Irene,
I have arrived in a camp worlds away from the front. Oh how I miss you so! Here in the camp Wehrmacht troops are relaxing and spending time in the small anti communist town just outside the gates of the camp. Our days here contain minimal drilling and some daily updates about the status of the Wehrmacht here on the Eastern battlefields. The delivery of a new weapon that the Fuhrer and OKW is saying will change the course of the war.... the Machinenpistole 1943 or MP43, the men & I have been receiving instruction about this weapon each day.... My what a dreadful looking weapon it is.
There has been reports of Partisans in the area and of the horrible things the have done to our Kameraden. The Oberleuntnant here in camp has warned us continually when we go into town to drink Bier and socialize. I have been here 6 days without incident, perhaps they are just trying to scare us! Anything is better than being at the front fighting those Soviet savages!
How I miss you so my sweet,
Love always,
Horst"
Participants portraying German Soldiers will arrive at The Ground Zero airsoft store 1254 Wolcott RD Wolcott, CT 06716 Between 8AM and 11AM this is where you will park your car. You will then load up onto the troop transport truck with all of your gear. You and your fellow Soldiers will be transported to "Osten Lager". There will be 3 trips to the field 9AM 10AM and 11AM you MUST be on one of these trucks. If you have multiple weapons or large weapons such as cannon you must make prior arrangements with Gerry before the event. There will be no down time, once you are aboard the troop transport you are fully immersed in the event and its game on.
Upon disembarking from the transport you will move to the Schreibstube(admin desk) for processing into the camp, you will be issued your emergency Iron rations, an inventory of your equipment will be entered into your Soldbuch, If you have lost your soldbuch in battle a temporary ID will be issued until you can have your soldbuch replaced. Expect this to be a slow process... If you think you were undermanned at the front the same holds true here in the rear. Upon completion of processing you will move to your quarters. Here in the camp your meals will be provided so be alert as to when Mess is or you will miss out!
You will be assigned to your temporary squad while in camp. Know who your squad leader is. You will be receiving some drilling and weapons instruction while in camp.... this is meant to keep your soldier skills sharp for when you once again face Ivan on the field of battle! For the most part all of you men are here to relax, rest and enjoy your time away from the frontlines.
