so for obvious reasons, I hated the balsa wood look of my new StG and sanded that bad boy and slapped on a coat of dark walnut: Before: After: Real StG 44: What do you think and share your aesthetic alterations. (the M4 above was a length comparison I showed to my friends)

If you feel like making a final touch on that, you could repaint the body with gun metal paint or something and make a couple of wooden plates for the grip.

Nice, I stained the stock on my stg like that, I used fine sand paper on the body also to make it look weathered.
