There are only 11 Days left! Yes, that's right. In only a short week and a half the opportunity to take advantage of the $15.00 prepayment discount will be available. Also, grenade and smoke grenade orders will be placed on Feb 11th with the supplier and you will not be able to secure a grenade order. Grenades will be on sale at the field, but there will be a limited supply (They went in 10 minutes at Day of Days). So in order to ensure and secure your Grenade order. You must place your order and submit payment by Feb 10th. As of right now we have 18 players registered and 8 prepaid. I am encouraged by the recent increase in numbers, but we still have a ways to go. There will be hot food with coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the game. I mention this as it is important for me to gauge how much food and drink I need to buy and I can only go by the numbers that are registered. Please stay tuned for updates including the Event schedule. Cheers, Migs

Something to share I know this is exactly the right forum for this, but I'd like to share these pictures with all of you. The first two pictures are of my father, Sgt. Joe Migliore. They were both taken in England 1944 prior to D-Day. The next three are pictures my father had taken at various points of the war during different liberation's of town and Cities. The first and last I don't know the details, but the middle one is very Kool. It is of the Great French General Philippe LeClerc as he reviews his troops on the "Place Kleber" in Strousbourg, France on 24 November, 1944. Some of you may not know this, but it was LeClerc who was the first to march into Paris after it was liberated in August, 1944. If anyone can help me identify the other two locations, I would be eternally grateful. Migs

Good Job Just wanted to let everyone know that registrations have been coming in daily and all signs point to a good attendance number. We are a little light on the German side, so let's see those krauts pick it up. But I still want to thank all those who have stepped up and sent in their registrations and the early payment discount. So let's keep the momentum going. Cheers, Migs

"D Day" As in DEADLINE! The registrations have been coming in at a nice pace these past few days or so, but we are still not where I would like us to be at this point. The count right now is: U.S. 101st Airborne: 9 (with a possible 4 more) U.S. 82nd Airborne: 2 U.S. Infantry: 6 R. Resistance fighters: 2 German Fallschirmjager: 4 German Heer: 4 German SS: 2 Obviously we need more Germans to balance out the numbers. In my opinion, a total count of 40 or more would be great. Right now we are at 27. I understand we should have last minute registrations and walk ups, and that is encouraging. I'm just asking for those who intend to come, take the time and register. Prepayment is only if you want to take advantage of the discount and not mandatory. But registering helps the event organizers gauge what to expect and what necessary supplies we should bring to help accommodate everyone. Today is also the Deadline to get in your Grenade and Smoke Grenade orders. This is imperative as I plan on placing the order on Monday to ensure delivery in time for our event. As I've mentioned before, grenades brings a whole new dynamic to our events and always seems to produce a memorable highlight. Even though some may feel it's a little expensive to literally "throw" away $10, believe me when I tell you it's worth it! So there you have it. Thank you those who have registered and thank you in advance to those who will do so in the very near future. Stay tuned for updates, supply suggestions and event timeline information to be posted shortly. Cheers, Migs

Can you post a picture of a grenade also, will you need firewood for our camp?I'll bring some. Yes on the firewood. The more the better. I will be asking everyone to bring at least 1 bundle of wood that you can purchase for about $5.00 at any Home Depot/Super Market. Here is your other request: These are the Pull Pin Grenades. Pull the pin and throw. They explode dry peas in about 5 to 7 seconds. This is the Striker Grenades. The top of the Grenade is a striker pad, similar to a matchbook. Simply twist off the top and use the striker pad to strike the fuse that you just uncovered. Very easy to use and dispenses the same dry peas in 5 to 7 seconds. This is of course the German Stick Grenade. Unscrew the bottom cap to reveal the lanyard (string). Pull the string and same as above. This is the Smoke Grenade. Pull the ring and throw. This beauty will dispense heavy smoke for a solid 2 minutes covering 25,000 cubic feet. I will be getting all of the above. My first preference in the ball grenades is the pull pin, but they are not always available. If not, we'll get the striker grenades. Either way, they are great. Hope this helped, Migs

Tyler and I are looking forward to this event And sent Our registrations in two weeks ago . We hope to seeing everyone there Specially those who have never played before, it is important for the sport to keep growing every year. One month to go Thanks Piper and welcome back Papa Bear! ;D Piper is right guys. The Registrations have improved and I thank all who have done so, but are numbers still need to increase. Here is the most current tally: U.S. 101st: 11 (1 pending) U.S. 82nd: 4 U.S. Infantry: 6 R.Resistance: 2 German FJ: 4 German Heer: 4 German SS: 2 Obviously it'll be a turkey shoot if we don't get more Germans. Remember guys, this is Bastogne, your last big offensive. You are suppose to have the superior numbers. Are the big bad Germans afraid of a little cold weather? Seriously though, with a month to go, we are still in good shape and I'm hopeful that more Germans will step up an make the trip. Cheers, Migs

!Achtung Deutsche Soldaten! We are a little over 3 weeks away from our grand operation to repel the Schweine from Bastogne. Too many of our courageous BrĂ¼der in Armen have died securing this town and we will not tolerate these vile invaders from taking over what is rightfully ours.
We will be stationed in the town of Foy from where we will commence our counteroffensive operations. The Fuhrer has ordered that we split the Allied armies by means of a surprise blitzkrieg through the Ardennes. This will take us right into the poorly defended Bastogne. We should make quick sauerkraut of these inexperienced Kakerlaken.
To help in this efforts we shall have all the necessary firepower to push forward. This will include:
MG42's
Panzerfausts
Mines
Flares
Grenades
Howitzers
Secret weapons
Rest assured that we shall make the Fatherland proud and will make these Yankee dearly pay for their intrusion. More details shall follow in about 2 weeks. A lot of preparations have gone into making our counteroffensive a huge success as we shall have insurmountable firepower on our side. We are looking for additional volunteers to help in this offensive. Schnell! get your registrations in today! You shall return to Berlin a hero!
