I've got a Marushin m2 that I bought second hand about 3 or 4 years ago, and the bolt lever broke off the very first time I used it. It's the bit with the handle on the right side that you pull to cock the gun. I've spent many hours and sent many emails trying to find a replacement but to no avail. I'm in school now learning to be a machinist, and I have the means to make a new part myself. Unfortunately I've since lost the part and I'm having a hard time putting together the measurements to make a blueprint to work from. If there's anyone out there with one of these rifles that wouldn't mind taking some pictures of the bolt lever for me I would greatly appreciate it. I mainly need to see the sides that mate with the rest of the bolt assembly that you can't see when the gun is put together: the bottom and left sides. So I'm hoping someone can post up or send me some hi-rez pics of all the different angles of the bolt lever with something next to it that I can use for scale, like a quarter. That way I can finally get all teh measurements I need and get this thing working again. Thanks.

That's a known problem with the M1 and M2 Carbines, same thing happened to me. If you do end up making one, you might be able to make some money selling them here because they are very hard to find.

Yeah it's a cheaply made part for the stresses it has to take. I'd be glad to help people out who find themselves in this situation if I end up able to making a working part.
You wouldn't happen to still have the part to take picture of would you? it doesn't matter if it's broken. I still have the bit that connects to the rail under the barrel, I need pics of the rest of it mainly.

Mine was lost in the middle of a woods and never found it, sorry. I'm surprised no one else said anything though, if a stronger part was made for it then there wouldn't be that problem

If its the charging handle you are after mine is still intact. My M2 broke a few years ago but I've always held on to it, if you guys still have the manual the part that broke is #55 from the bolt, it looks like a round screw of some type that attaches to the bolt. I can send pix if you need.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I'm once again interested in making a replacement for this part. I'm now employed as a CNC programmer in a machine shop and have the resources to complete this project. I'm still in need of some high resolution pictures or accurate measurements of the part before I can draw it up in Mastercam. If anyone can help please let me know. Once I have a working prototype of the part I'll know how feasible it is to make one for anybody who's run into the same issue as me.
Thank you

If you ever end up getting someone to give you the measurements and making a few, let me know because I'm still interested in buying one.
I know there's tons of guys on here who have their Carbine's bolt in tact, how come no one wants to measure it!

Hi there, I've just joined this forum purely for this topic! I would be very interested in this if this could happen. I have two M2 carbines, one that has a broken charging handle and one that doesn't... If I can take measurements of the non broken bolt lever/charging handle and send them to you miediev would this help in the production of new parts as there definitely seems to be a need!
