Cool Reising , i now you remember the show "Combat" Guinness, and some of the MP40s they used on the show were actually Reising SMGs made to look like MP40s.

wow, now that guy's got quite the armory. I don't think that's a johnson LMG though, it's a johnson m1941 semi-automatic rifle. Is that a 57mm recoilless rifle too? Hopefully nobody got hurt by its backblast. Very impressive stuff though.

Yes I do......but only as re-runs, I'm not that old lol! BTW, here's a trivia question: Vic Morrow, the star of COMBAT! met an untimely end on what movie set, and how? .... and your right Yankee- that is the rifle- BTW, he has the recoilless converted to fire .50 cal cartridges, so no back-blast

huh, that sounds MUCH safer. I thought that live .50 cal rounds were illegal though? I guess he must have some kind of license. But then again, It must be a hell of a lot easier then recoilless rifle cartridges. very cool stuff nonetheless.

Yankee- Those pics are from the annual Rocky Mtn .50 Cal Club MG Shoot- Thats what we were talking about- (just a typical tangent departure around here ) So yeah.....he has a license lol @ Adler- The Huey crashed nearby, blades flew off and cut his punkin right off- as well as killing two little kids working on the movie- very sad- Was a major factor in changing Child labor laws in films though-

Word of active: go to as many flee markets, surplus stores, antique, etc, as possible. You should be able to find used cheap gear at them. Surplus stores not so much for somethings, but you should be able to find a helmet for cheap. The one up by me selling American helmet from WW2-Present day for $20 a pop. Hope you get everything together!!!

ooooh, is this an airborne ranger unit? because that would make sense ( ?) "A 13 yr old Sgnt?"- I agree, guys took YEARS to get up to that rank. My great-uncle was in the service during WWII for about 3 years....and he left as a corporal. Also, my grandfather was in the army for 32 years.....retired as a master sgt. I'm not a big fan of unearned rank, especially when it's not even appropiate imo from a reenacting/airsoft standpoint. But hey, if you need those stripes to get by in life.....

Remember, he's 13 and new around here- ...as well as living in the best danged state in these United States- ;D None of us are Drill Instructors here, so lay off the sarcastic- unhelpful comments or I will be the D.I. that plants his boot up your *** Elder, follow Nimlas's advice and read the ruleset- if you are jumping to Sgt. that's your business, it's not really correct, but then again many many men came out of Currahee with three stripes, and as it's assumed that anyone portraying a fighting soldier of WWII has left basic... IMHO there are worse things. "I'm not a big fan of unearned rank" ..... You crack me up Son- All of you wisenhiemers THAT AREN'T SERVING NOW OR HAVE NEVER SERVED IN THE US OR ANY OTHER ARMED FORCES are wearing "unearned" rank ya n00b

We are always learning in life, we never stop learning and more importantly we will never know everything. Let's continue help and educate are new friend here in the wonderful world of WW2 airsoft, I mean we all had to do something new in life at one point or another. Questions, mistakes, corrections, are part of learning after all.

I had to start out with Sgt. because my unit doesn't have any higher ranking officers. I'm sorry...I'll start out as Pvt. just like everyone else.

I say "promote" yourself as you gain members (how many do you have btw?). Officers and NCO's usually had the highest casuality ratio's, hence units often went without a high-ranking officer for quite some time. Before my great-uncle's rifle squad got wiped out (all but him) they went without an officer for several weeks of combat. Having a squad without a high ranking officer isn't usually looked down upon nearly as much as having a high ranking officer without much of a squad.
