I think you'll have to get a Hi-cap mag and gut the internals to get the winder mech. And then some copper tube for the feed.

I believe you are correct. I have identified 3 different ones I would like to try and have ordered them in. The guys were very helpful. I don't know how this is going to work, but if it does I may have a new feed system for some of these cranky guns.

building a box mag is something of an art but there are numerous tutorials online that show assorted approaches. The key breakthrough for me was the concept of the feed springs leading from the box into the gun. These springs serve as the tube the BBs flow through and finding the right size is a bit tricky but they work amazingly well allowing you to route the BBs in some cases quite dramatically without jamming.
I have been using M14 high cap mechanisms as I have a ton of them left over from my Garand conversions.

I got really burned out on the airsoft guns and have laid them to one side for the time being. At the present I am making some weird bottles to keep my hand in, so to speak. Perhaps during the fall I will attempt another build. I still have some 1903 demills here and they are calling
