Vicarious and I have decided to Start a new unit up here in Northern California. Alot of the fields are in Sacramento, but from the Bay area it is about a two hour drive. Anyways, we have thought long and hard about it, and we decided to be a U.S Infantry unit: the 16th I.R 1st I.D. We are looking for anyone willing to join, and if interested here are two emails you can contact both me and Vicarious at. norcal1st_infantry@yahoo.com or justuka_ju@yahoo.com or Moh_malarky@earthlink.net But please, I have never made a unit before, and Ive reeanacted, so any other help with making this unit a great one would be awesome!!!! By the way, there are plenty of great places only miles away from us that would be great for wars! Regards, -Tobin, and Graham

I, personally would NOT want to do 101st airborne, let alone any airborne division. Out here in Cali, they are so over-used and over-"portrayed" that I would probably never step foot into a set of M42's. -Dakota

Haha, but you had no problem stepping into Modified Paratrooper M43's, now did you? Ofcourse, I am just messing with you Dakota. I don't live out in California, but listen to Mauser, he's a smart guy, with some awesome impressions, as well as Go4Broke. I think they both reenact if I am not mistaken.

I'm glad to see new groups spawning around the country. However, in order to accommodate everyone with an interest an WWII Airsoft, I would create a sort of union and promote both allied and axis membership. If you were to focus solely on one side then you would have no adversaries to skirmish with. Furthermore, keep it simple. German = Heer infantry impression; Ami or Brit = Grunt infantry or whatever. Keep the so-called "elite" units out of the equation imho...there are too many as it is, and not enough focus on the majority: the common soldier.

Well, the thing is, you do one impression at a time, then start branching off and doing seperate impressions. Focus on what you would like to do now, and then what you would do as a secondary kit. No need to rush to get both kits perfect in a minimal amount of time, odds are they will both be lacking of authenticity. -Dakota
